st albans fox Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Away support doesn't need clappers. I am surprised that those within the club don't understand that
Kitchandro Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Just when I thought things were going well, the club do something else to embarrass us. A lid needs to be put on this clapper thing before it gets out of control.
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Clearly, you do realise away games are for all folk don't you? There is a category of fans that don't fit into the 16 to 45 category you know. No one is forcing you to use one? Others may like one. I've also not mentioned the "need" for them. My away travel isn't in question, is yours?? Number one, you claim the clappers will "help" drown the home fans out, we already do that at the moment, Number two, if you need an clapper at an away game to make an atmosphere you're not doing them right
davieG Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 As I posted above they will probably hand them out at the turnstiles like they did for whu so if you don't want one don't take one and if they are so not wanted there won't be any inside and they can use them for the next home game.
Bayfox Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 The club are considering giving City fans clappers , starting at Norwich away. I think this is a great idea if it helps to drown out the home fans. Thoughts? Couldn't care less if we have them or not. Home or away. But admit it seems to work. We have 9 of us travelling from Manningtree to Norwich on the train and it was suggested we take a few on the train. We are gonna be the most annoying 9 people on a train out of London ever
Guest Mee-9 Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 See, if loyal fans could get tickets they'd be noisy and no need for clap banners. Bloody plastics at it again.
Bayfox Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 See, if loyal fans could get tickets they'd be noisy and no need for clap banners. Bloody plastics at it again. Plastics that have spent the last 7 years plus. Well before we actually became any good again. Actually following us to Carlisle and Southend. Earning the points? Genuine question.
cambridgefox Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Kingpower might as well just buy the printers who makes these things... cheaper than paying out a few 100k a year in the long run. im in the packaging industry, unfortunately some of these converters cost millions,I'm such a saddo that when I heard it costs the club 12k each time I wish I had them as one of my clients.
Lcfc_1995 Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 No it's embarrassing enough to have them for every home game and having uptown funk on before every match, it's just incredibly tinpot, our away support is loud enough without the clappers, there is hardly any point if you can hear clappers in just one corner of a ground?
BigMicky Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Number one, you claim the clappers will "help" drown the home fans out, we already do that at the moment, Number two, if you need an clapper at an away game to make an atmosphere you're not doing them right Oh dear, looks like you need to learn how to read. I've not said anything of the sort. A 70 year old man and a 5 year old kid will make more noise with a clapper than a voice or their hands. It really isn't rocket science.

Embarrassed in front of who exactly??
Lcfc_1995 Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Embarrassed in front of who exactly?? other clubs that we need clappers to create our own noise at home games, it was good last season but using them for every home game this season just doesn't seem right
Wymsey Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Feel like hitting some around me with them, when they moan despite winning and content if we're struggling.
BigMicky Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 other clubs that we need clappers to create our own noise at home games, it was good last season but using them for every home game this season just doesn't seem right You get embarrassed in front of other clubs fans?? Wow, I couldn't careless what any of those £ricks think of LCFC. Its about getting 3 points, not how we are perceived by other clubs and what they think of our flags, banners music etc. If anything off field helps us get a win then I am all for it, regardless of how "tinpot" we look. Its seems all about the image for some folk.....
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Imagine the stick we'd give Hull or Norwich if their end at the KP was full of grown men using peices of folded card to make noise! But we seem to think it's OK for us to use them?

But we seem to think it's OK for us to use them? We're a 'family club', and this is apparently one way of getting kids and pensioners together to get an atmosphere going.

Right so you'd prefer our away ends to be full of people just banging clappers rather than singing in support of our players? Clappers make the songs go too fast, clappers don't make the atmosphere voices do

If folk want to use clappers to make noise that they wouldn't have made previously then I am all for it. Simple enough?
FoxInBlue Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 When they first appeared I wasn't a fan, and combined with Uptown Funk I'm still not sold on them but given the run we've been on since they have been around I have almost become superstitious about them. I start to think, what happens when they stop doing them, is that the end? Sad I know

Simple enough?Bollocks, these people who would suddenly start using the clappers can **** off for all I care. It's probably convenient for them as they can still follow the ball around the pitch all game like the sad twats they are then go home and say what a noise we made.
