brisfox Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 The club are considering giving City fans clappers , starting at Norwich away. I think this is a great idea if it helps to drown out the home fans. Thoughts?
ozleicester Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 first in with "cringe and tinpot " ) but i dont care actually, whatever
goose2010 Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 not sure its needed at away games we tend to generate enough noise, it would be good if the clappers could be opened out to create a small 'tifo' like display at away games even blue and white stripes would look great.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 No lets just leave the clappers for home games (if we have to use them) We make plenty of noise away from home anyway so not sure we need to have them at away games as well.
EGBFitness Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Soon the whole premier league will jump onto this idea and every game will just be noise. They will probably soon get banned like vuvuzelas or whatever they were called
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Man United did it away at Hull at the end of last season and seemed to get away with it, if we do it we'll get torn to shreds. Not needed.
urban.spaceman Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Not sure if the local police would be happy with our club handing 3-4000 of our fans a projectile each. Paper cuts can be deadly.

Would definitely love to see our away fans making the shape of the Fox head to spur on the lads but I doubt the home clubs would be happy with that
Wymsey Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Make it more tinpot personally. Just about fine with it at home.
Footballwipe Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Clappers at a ground which doesn't have Uptown Funk on it's pre-match playlist? Heaven tbh
whoareyaaa Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Not really needed is it? going away from home the crowd should always be loud we shouldn't need these things to get an atmosphere going anyway.

Guest CityFan 06 Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Consulting the fans on this one is what's needed I think, It's important to have fan involvment. Perhaps the club could do a vote like the Flag designs or just anything that involves the fans with the idea instead of a decision being made by just the club. I appreciate the club's idea but please not for away games as well.

Babylon Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Kingpower might as well just buy the printers who makes these things... cheaper than paying out a few 100k a year in the long run.
AKCJ Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 It's brilliant at a home game because one kid whacking one of them on his palm creates the noise of about 10 adults. Not needed for away games. Absolutely all over that away day tifo idea though.

Harry - LCFC Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Most people go to home games expecting not to sing because they know those around them don't tend to sing either. The clappers have worked at home because they break that mindset by getting people involved a bit, giving them the encouragement they need to join in with the chants. This isn't the case at away games. Everyone will walk through the turnstiles at Carrow Road next week expecting to sing because they know that's what happens at away games - they don't need to be given any further encouragement!
Riot Van Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 They are bad enough at home already. Embarrassing would be an understatement if they were at away games.
norfolkfox222 Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 please god no! it will be tough enough for me if we lose there without the embarrassment of clappers
Kasey Keller Posted 25 September 2015 Posted 25 September 2015 Do it i say make some f@&king noise!!!

If they give them out at the turnstiles like they did for the cup game fans will be able to vote yes or no by whether they take one or not. I don't use them as I prefer to use my hands to clap but I'm sure they'll be some that got to away games regularly that will want them.
