STUHILL Posted 6 October 2015 Posted 6 October 2015 Very good team and manager. Performance at Chelsea was impressive too. I think they will be too good for us but this Leicester side contine to surprise me so I wouldn't rule out a win for us!
foxfanazer Posted 6 October 2015 Posted 6 October 2015 Manè has a game on the the Thursday night before our game for Senegal. If he plays it would be unlikely he'll start against us. Fingers crossed
TJB-fox Posted 6 October 2015 Posted 6 October 2015 Manè has a game on the the Thursday night before our game for Senegal. If he plays it would be unlikely he'll start against us. Fingers crossed Mahrez will assumedly play on the Tuesday against Manes Senegal, hopeful isn't too fatigued even by that
dedlock Posted 6 October 2015 Posted 6 October 2015 Tricky tricky game this. Another one we traditionally struggle at although that's not stopped us taking the points at Norwich & West Ham. This is our toughest away game yet for me. These are better than the other four. I'd take a point. Agreed. The progress Soton have made over the last few years is not dissimilar to City .Remember they survived the drop to the 3rd tier at or expense only to pass us on the way up the following season. They have since overtaken City and were a revelation last season ,having lost a manager and key players. A point will be a good result.
ARM1968 Posted 6 October 2015 Posted 6 October 2015 Take a point all day long. Win would be dreamland. Defeat is a real possibility. But after seeing what Arsenal did to UTD it puts that game in a little more perspective. The Gunners have hit one of their merciless purple patches where they'd dismantle most sides. Still this is probably our toughest away test. Again if we play to our strengths we could come away with something. Hopefully Mane won't play. He destroyed Chelsea.
filbertstreet Posted 6 October 2015 Posted 6 October 2015 Saw this on the Saints forum Reckon this will be a much harder game than Chelsea or Swansea. Never thought I'd see the day that happened
MPH Posted 6 October 2015 Posted 6 October 2015 I'd more than Happily settle for a point But i'm dreaming if a late Fuchs throw into the box a couple of minutes after ulloa has come on as a sub... But for defensive reasons as much as anything, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ulloa start this one.....
NewquayFox Posted 7 October 2015 Posted 7 October 2015 This will be as tough as the Arsenal game, Southampton are a very good side and I reckon a draw at St Mary's would be a decent result, my first visit to this ground so maybe the lads will nick me a win.... Up the City.....
LittlethorpeFox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 I'd be happy with a point as I would be at any premiership away game, win is a bonus. Good performance and 100% effort the only "must" at places like Southampton.
fuchsntf Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Vardy injured, Kramaric and Ulloa score to take the points.Okazaki drops back to take Inlers position. Schmeichel saves Penalty. Fuchs n Schlupp play blinders.Morgan sees red. I dont understand all this worrying. Plus I dont understand the dodos who do nothing but find pathetic reasons to post Negatives over Our Italian wunderkind Ranieri.
Guest Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 got 0-0 written all over it. which wouldnt be the end of the world. How 0-0?
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 How 0-0? Why on earth has this got 0-0 written all over it?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 I'd quite happily take a draw; Southampton are a very good side.Yeah I agreeCertainly away a point is always a good point anyway
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 got 0-0 written all over it. which wouldnt be the end of the world. Definately has 0-0 written all over itAt kick off at least anyway
foxfanazer Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 What would people prefer out of 0-0 and 1-1? 0-0 to keep our first clean sheet or 1-1 to keep our scoring record going
biggs Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 0-0 This scoreline should have odds around 10 to 1 with our inability to keep the ball out of our net
Thracian Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Haha - there's no way this'll be 0-0 cos the randiest streetwalker in Shanghai would have more chance of keeping a clean sheet than our back four. Nothing against them but Southampton score goals. It's what they do. Like Drew Pritchard buying buying salvage reclamation. Southampton would score in a convent. I'm worried about Jamie too. As they might say at Stocksbridge Park Steels, the bloke's heading for the footballer's equivalent of metal fatigue. Bad knee, fractured wrist, they'll soon be nothing but guts holding the bloke together. Trouble is, if Ranieri goes for the same kind of balance we had at Norwich, who the hell's going to get the goals if not Vardy, and who's going to carry our "fearless" flag into battle with The Saints?. I can't second guess Ranieri's intentions but just like when we were up against it in Championship days I think we'll win at Southampton 2-1 with the headline reading, "Drinky pours a Southampton double". Of course it might be his midfield partner who hogs the limelight with goals of such brilliance that.... "Saints Kan'te Believe It" as "Midfielder comes good with two in a minute"!
filbertstreet Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 the bloke's heading for the footballer's equivalent of metal fatigue.
Guybino Posted 11 October 2015 Posted 11 October 2015 looking at their forums they are highly confident. I love it when we are underestimated, I think the players love it too. 1-2 mighty foxes.
fuchsntf Posted 11 October 2015 Posted 11 October 2015 Its a fine thing, when your own fans, give you little hope of gaining points!!!! This is a city 3 pointer, this is the season we win the must games, and flatten out againt the big guns. Finish with 62 points.
srbfox Posted 11 October 2015 Posted 11 October 2015 they've let 7 in at home this season and we are always gonna score wherever we go. Can see it a score draw and would settle for that.
Foxhateram Posted 11 October 2015 Posted 11 October 2015 It would be interesting to see how Ranieri goes about this one. In some ways it is similar to the Arsenal game, we could go toe to toe with them and try and outscore them, which I would like us to do, they aren't as clinical as Arsenal were that day. On the flip side he might go out and fill the midfield, with Danny, Kante and Inler/King but then you have less of an outlet. It certainly will be interesting to see how he plays it. That photoshopping of Vardy is uncanny. The look suprisingly suits him haha.
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 11 October 2015 Posted 11 October 2015 Never realised how much Ranieri looks like Jimmy Page!
