Their goalkeeper steklenberg is shit.

2-1 vardy with both

Can't believe he was Holland's number 1 at one point.

Probably suits us playing 3 center backs, Ulloa should probably start. Anything from this game would be huge.

Kasper

Bena/was morgan huth

Albrighton Kante drinkwater fuchs

Mahrez

Vardy ulloa

Bit harsh on schlupp but give him a rest

Mane looks bloody dangerous, made mugs out of Chelsea.

A point would be very good indeed, a win probably unthinkable. Still with our team you wouldn't discount it.

Very tough game though and I'll take a point all day long.

Southampton had a good season last year and I suspect they will pick up and finish comfortably in the top 10 this year, so they are quite good.

The real question is, how good are we?  Many would suspect we are having a purple patch and will tail off, and I can see why.  We were bottom for much of last year and survived due to a remarkable run of form.  The momentum of this has carried through until this season, many would say.

I posted earlier that in the last 17 games, we have only lost three games, to Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City.  In other words, teams which are clearly a cut above the rest of the division.  Therefore, are we in fact able to hold our own and avoid defeat against all but the very best in this league?  I would like to think this, which is why I avoid doing so.

I keep waiting for the momentum to run out of steam.  Today was a good chance for that to happen.  We got tonked by Arsenal and Norwich put us under a lot of pressure in the second half.  But we held on to win, and if we had taken our chances, it would not have been close in the first place.

The longer our momentum refuses to drop off, the more likely it seems that the latter scenario, that we are in fact better than most in this league, becomes the most likely reason for our very good finish to last season and good start to this one.

It depends on whether you believe the former or latter explanation for our form on whether you think we will get beat or hold our own against Southampton.

Little bit worried after watching motd. They looked class against chelsea But I think it will be a totally different game. Chelsea are void of confidence and Leicester are full of it. So it will be exciting I'm sure. I'm expecting no pizza for the Leicester players tho. I'm going for a 1-1 or 2-2 draw I'm hoping for a sneaky win tho of course.

Southampton were a big noise in the Championship but the season they got promoted we still did the double over them - if memory serves - including an emphatic win at their place. My middle son is a Southampton fan. No way will I contemplate anything other than a win! :)

We did but we were sooo lucky to beat them at our place

I'd take a draw now, but with the confidence and momentum we have this is winnable. They will be the dominant team and we will have to ride our luck at times go get anything from this game. Same team for me. Okazaki gets a lot of stick but his work rate off the ball is exactly what we need away from home. I understand why we dropped Mahrez because he doesn't track back enough, and you need that especially away from home.

I just love the way we are playing at the moment . 2-1 city

Mane and Pella look to be hitting form. Our defence still wobbled beneath the weight of a flimsy Norwich attack. We will concede.

Honestly a draw here would be mental.

A win would be Jose (insane).

Some of Chelsea's defending was laughable - or cryable! It is hard to believe the mess they've become at the back. Yes, Southampton deserve credit for putting people under pressure - and taking those chances when they came - but Chelsea would have looked fragile against any Premiership outfit yesterday with those kind of mistakes.

What's changed in The Premiership is that some of the long established top teams are no longer looking so fearsome. Somehow the spirit of so many underdogs is blowing a gale through the comfort zones of the big boys.

For Leicester against Southampton it's a matter of getting our team balance and attitude spot on. We'll be no pushover for anyone if we do ourselves justice. I remember going down to Southampton in Championship days not long after Drinkwater had been signed and there were few who expected us to return with much better than a draw.

In fact we dominated so well that my Southampton-supporting middle son disappeared into a local pub at least 20 minutes before the end and has never quite lived it down.

Southampton are an excellent side, well organised and with players who can hurt you. But they'll know they'll have a battle on against Leicester and I still believe there's more to come from what is evolving into an excellent Foxes team.

Even the Arsenal defeat offered positive pointers. The goals we conceded forced us to look at the weaknesses in our defence and the way it fitted into our basic approach - and not before time.

But the way our counter-attacking tore the Arsenal defence to shreds at times shouldn't be forgotten and by retaining that threat in a stronger, more fluid defensive system I can only see more good times ahead and the time when we become a real challenge to the so-called big guns.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri confirmed that neither Jamie Vardy nor Danny Simpson suffered significant injuries during Saturday’s 2-1 win at Norwich City.

Full back Simpson was replaced 65 minutes into his first Premier League start since March, suffering with cramp, while top scorer Vardy required lengthy treatment late in the game after taking a knock to his knee.

While the forthcoming international break offers Simpson an opportunity to recover, Vardy is due to join up with the England squad for their remaining European Championship qualifiers.

But Ranieri insisted neither player would be significantly troubled by the ailments sustained at Carrow Road.

“No, nothing serious. I think both are ok,” Ranieri said when asked about the condition of the pair.

“When I saw Vardy on the ground I thought it was a bad injury because Jamie never stays down.

“When he came close to our bench, the physio said it was his knee, but he was stable and he continued to play.”

The news will come as a relief to England manager Roy Hodgson, who will have the Barclays Premier League’s leading scorer at his disposal next week.

This will be a massive test of our ability and how far we've come.

Southampton are a very good team and after a shaky start are putting some form together, even with Chelsea's troubles, not many teams will go to Stamford bridge and win 3-1.

If you offered me a draw right now, I'd snap your arm off, unfortunately I think they'll be a little too much for us and we'll lose, possibly 3-1/3-2, however I really hope I'm wrong.
