foxfanazer Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 In your all time favourite Leicester City players?
Stevosevic Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Well up there, It's a great story. Top 5 for sure, i've been watching since 1996.
weller54 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Well behind the likes of.. Banks. Shilton, Weller, Worthington, Glover, Walsh, Elliott, to name but a few...
foxfanazer Posted 24 October 2015 Author Posted 24 October 2015 Well behind the likes of.. Banks. Shilton, Weller, Worthington, Glover, Walsh, Elliott, to name but a few... Fair enough. Could he reach those heights?
filbertstreet Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Fair enough. Could he reach those heights? no he's not very tall, good at scoring goals though
foxfanazer Posted 24 October 2015 Author Posted 24 October 2015 Top 3 for me alongside Walsh and Izzet
bovril Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Fair enough. Could he reach those heights? Without a doubt. I said last week he's playing at a level I've never seen from a striker here. In my years of watching Leicester, Lennon, Izzet, Elliott stand out as the legends but I can never remember a guy like Vardy that sends such a buzz around the ground when he gets the ball. The only guy that came close to that was Heskey on his day (which was quite rare) and maybe Collymore for the brief time he was here. I posted on here when he got called up to England that I love what a pure player he is. No bullshit. Just plays football. Hustles defenders, runs everything down, holds the ball up, brings other players in to the game. He'd do a job wherever he played. The guy is already a legend for me. He may be a chav twat off the field but as a footballer he is magnificent, he is the reason I watch this game. He's the reason this sport is so much better than any other.

If I was a footballer that's exactly the type I'd like to be. Admired Dickov for it but Vardy is better
ithuriel Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Well, he has the potential to make himself a legendary name here, just has to keep on doing what he is doing.
Donut Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 In my lifetime as a fan, id rank Whitlow, Parker, Poole, Keller, Walsh, Elliott, Guppy, Izett, Heskey, Cottee, Lennon, Zagorakis, Deane, Dickov, Mahrez, Cambiasso, Vardy as the favourite players ive had. Tried to make a chronological order of sorts.
weller54 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Fair enough. Could he reach those heights? Really hope so... Great to see him thriving!

Heymister2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Leicester legend according to fans that couldn't wait for him to develop at this level and would of happily sold him in January to west brom/villa when it was being muted around!
Fox92 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Leicester legend according to fans that couldn't wait for him to develop at this level and would of happily sold him in January to west brom/villa when it was being muted around! People change their opinion WHAT NEXT ?
Countryfox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Come on, we all have our favourites but he's had a fairytale career so far that would look good in Roy of the Rovers
Thracian Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 His is such a super story forged from sheer determination and I'm as big a fan as any. He's up there but people like Davie Gibson, Lenny Glover, Frank Worthington, Derek Dougan and Derek Hogg were terrific to watch too. And that's just the forwards. .
Monk Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Haven't felt so excited about a strikers pace since Joachim
Durnerz Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 A real handful and seems to be getting better with each game. Not sure I'd rate him as the best I've seen but he's definitely got the potential to reach heights none of our previous strikers since Lineker have.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I think he still comes well below Phil Gee Oh and Bobby Davison...
fuchsntf Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I think he still comes well below Phil Gee Oh and Bobby Davison... The reply to that is in your avitar..
HighPeakFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I remember Gee hitting the bar vs Derby from about 60 yards (deliberate exaggeration before the pedants pounce), with Greavsie commentating, saying afterwards he was thinking 'Don't shoot from there son, you've got no chance'
chapero82 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 I think he still comes well below Phil Gee Oh and Bobby Davison... Good old Col you could depress the Joker
