foxfanazer Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Think it might be a good idea waiting until the nect day to do this Stu. Think we would get a more accurate and less reactionary reading. Kante 9 Vardy, Fuchs, DD 8 Albrighton 5 Rest 7's
Fox92 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 All 7's apart from ... Kante, Drinkwater and Vardy - 8 Albrighton, Schlupp, Dyer - 6 Renieri - 7 Palace - 4 - Wasn't too impressed with them. They were very direct. Dean - 5 - Not sure why he constantly booked our players yet some of their players got away with foul after foul (eg Kelly)
theessexfox Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Schmeichel - 6 - Didn't have loads to do, tidy Simpson - 7 - Dealt with their wingers very well Huth - 6 - Solid Morgan - 7 - Battled well Fuchs - 7 - Quality on the ball, lived dangerously near the end Albrighton - 6 - Bright, good take ons but not the best quality Drinkwater - 8 - Fantastic Kante - 10 - Faultless for me, absolutely immense Schlupp - 6 - Not sure what he was doing in the no. 10 role but good effort Mahrez - 6 - Not involved too much but unselfish and good pass when it mattered Vardy - 7 - Matchwinner, what a man Okazaki - 7 - Took pressure off Dyer - 6 - Did fine Ref - 6 - Decent, good penalty decisions for me Palace - 6 - Still a good team Ranieri - 8 - Finally got his clean sheet, what a guy
Guest ttfn Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Schmeichel 6 - made a couple of decent stops. I don't feel for a moment that he has control over his penalty area and his distribution in the first half was poor. Simpson 7 - had a hard job against Bolasie but kept him pretty quiet. Huth 7 - best game I've seen him have this season. Morgan 8 - thought he was colossal - won virtually everything in the air and barely put a foot wrong Fuchs 8 - very intelligent player; think he's going to become a favourite of mine. Albrighton 4 - Came closest to scoring in the first half but that was pretty much the only thing he did right all game. Only 50% pass completion and 0 crosses completed. Time for a rest. Kante 8 - surely the best tackler in the country. Drinkwater 8 - best player on the pitch for me. I'm not much of a DD fan but he really set the tempo yesterday - he's very confident and constantly showing for the ball which is something he did a lot less of last season. Schlupp 5 - wasn't with it yesterday. Still did 1 or 2 good things but generally not good. Never want to see him at #10 again, it totally negates his pace and exposes his lack of awareness and touch, especially on days like yesterday. Mahrez 6 - bit quiet but a great through ball for Vardy when it mattered. Vardy 7 - largely kept quiet by a deep, physical Palace back line but took his only chance brilliantly. Subs: Okazaki 6 - his energy was a massive plus in the second half and kept Palace pinned back, particularly restricting Cabaye's chances of playing from deep. Gave away a couple of free kicks but in pretty harmless areas. Dyer 5 - not on long but didn't do much. Ranieri 8 - Overall good but I thought he left Schlupp and Albrighton on way too long. Palace 5 - average.
Guest Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Ranieri 8 Kasper 7 Simpson 6 Huth 7 Morgan 7 Fuchs 8 Albrighton 6 Kante 10 Drinkwater 7 Schlupp 9 Mahrez 7 Vardy 7 Palace 5 Ref 6 STAY - FOREVER
Freesolo Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Does anyone have a link for the video of Zaha's dive that he was booked for? I fell asleep before match of the day last night.
Foxymcoxy Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Gave Kante MOTM just ahead of DD. The rest were solid but not spectacular. Kante is a phenomenon.
iancognito Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 7s mainly, 8 for Vardy and Drinkwater. I think Claudio should go. He's brought us the pizza we were demanding but now we're on another level now and someone like Tim Sherwood or Gus Poyet can take us on to further success.
kingfox Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Schmeichel(6) - Kicking was poor at times, made two decent saves though Simpson(7) - One of his best displays for us, dealt with Bolasie well Huth(8) - Was at his dominant best, his best game of the season so far Morgan(8) - Similar to Huth, good tackles & blocks especially Fuchs(7) - Intelligent player, had a good first half, a little rash towards the end of the match Albrighton(6) - Good at turning and running at players, his end product though was poor Drinkwater(9) - Playing with so much confidence, his forward drive & passing range was excellent Kante(9) - Some very neat passes in particular, but the way he intercepts the ball is beastly Schlupp(6) - Not his best display, looked knackered especially in the last 10 mins Mahrez(7) - Didn't have the impact we expected, but another quality assist to his name gives him a 7 Vardy(7) - Looked isolated at times but took his chance well & gave his usual 100%
Thracian Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted Today, 11:22 AM Ranieri 9 (Masterminded our win by devising an approach which largely negated their main strengths. I didn't like the way we got panicky at the end and our collective retreat might easily have cost us because we suddenly allowed people into our box to shout for penalties or provoke mayhem. But it was only for a short time and can be forgiven in light of the result.) Kasper 7 (One half-decent save and a couple of others that needed to be made. Little to do otherwise). Simpson 7 (Such a difficult task well accomplished. Arguably won the battle on our right and therefore played a positive part in our win for all that he was inevitably constrained in going forward even if inclined, which he never seemed to be). Huth 7 (Was hardly troubled all game and that was the measure of his dominance and the effect of Ranieri's tactical plan) Morgan 7 (Rather busier than Huth but dug in deep and well deserved to celebrate a clean sheet at last). Fuchs 7 (Lost a mark for the risks/clumsiness which prompted the penalty claims but was otherwise masterful at left-back and another who played a major part in blunting the Palace attack). Albrighton 6 (Offered plenty of defensive help but apart from almost scoring with his shot that his a post, he disappointed in attack. It was clear from the off that high crosses and through balls were going to be gobbled up by the Palace centre-backs so why persist? Needed to be much more thoughtful and accurate). Kante 8 (Our pocket dynamo. I don't think his head would drop if they hanged him. What an exammple for any aspiring midfielder. Energy, tenaciousness, determination, awareness and such a willingness to mend his mistakes). Drinkwater 7.5 (Worked tirelessly in midfield and further back and tried every which way to make something happen, including a shot! His long passes gave possession away too often and too cheaply and he needs to present a greater goal threat to be thought of as a master-midfielder. But a sound performance nonetheless). Schlupp 7 (Had a particular role and fulfilled it well. Always posed a potential threat and might easily have scored a goal either with a medium range shot or had he received the pass he should have got from Mahrez when homing in on the far post. Played his part defensively too and looked totally spent by the end.) Mahrez 7.5 (His was a largely forgettable performance but still so significant because he made the goal for Vardy out of next-to nothing. Yes the defender made a bad mistake but it was Mahrez' choice of an instant pass that did for Palace. Had a great chance of a goal when shooting wide from Albrighton's rebound and might have been better squaring the ball to the unmarked Schlupp who'd have had what looked like a tap in. But, hindsight is easy from the sidelines and it is what Mahrez actually achieved that counted and that was a direct assist in collecting three points) Vardy 8 (Two chances for a centre-forward isn't much and says more about the poor supply he got than Vardy's willingness to try and make space or close people down. Again, like Mahrez, it what what he achieved that counted and that was to despatch one of his aforementioned chances with sublime skill. First he timed his run to perfection, secondly he stayed cool to chip the advancing keeper and then he stayed brave and balanced to thwart the fast-recovering defender. If the goal looked easy it was because Vardy made it look that way. His seven goals in successive Premiership games always seemed inevitable because that's what Vardy is - a winner). Subs: Shinji 5.5 (Lots of effort and determination but little that stood out and I thought him a free-kick waiting to happen at exactly the time we didn't need them). Dyer 2 (Miscontrolled his first pass and didn't get much better. It may have been a cameo appearance but concentration is still vital and the lack of it could have cost us.)
andyred61 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Schmeichel 7 - bit frustrating the number of times his distribution gave opposition chance of winning back possession Simpson 7 - not much in it between him and de laet, arguably he offers less going forward but he stays back more to maintain position Fuchs 8 - experience and composure , we need one of him on the right. Handball late on purely accidental Morgan 7- usual solid Wes. He always looks a bit scared when he has to control t with his feet under pressure Huth 7- solid , got aware with a leading arm late on Drinkwater 9- controlled middle of park, when will Woy call him up for England? Kante 7- great work in front of back four Allbrighton 7- worked hard but not his day in terms of crossing Schlupp 7 - steady performance Mahrez 7 - palace were ready for him but telling contribution with the pass to Vardy Vardy 8- workrate, pressing tremendous in tight game and cool finish subs Okazaki 6- some good challenges but struggling to find his feet dyer 6 ref Mike Dean 7- for him, usually arrogant and making very poor decisions against us- today he was better Ranieri- 7 -Tactical game and we played it well- was alawys gpoing to be tight
Bamba's Babes Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 10 - 9 - Drinkwater 8 - Ranieri, Fuchs, Kante, Vardy 7 - Simpson, Morgan 6 - Mike Dean, Okazaki, Schmeichel, Huth, Albrighton, Mahrez, Schlupp 5 - Crystal Palace, Nathan Dyer 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - 0 -

Countryfox Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Kante 10 ... What a player. I love him. The ref 10 .... Top bloke ! Now on my Christmas card list. Zaha 0 ... Cheating scrote ! All the others somewhere in between.
Corky Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Schmeichel- 6 Simpson- 7 Huth- 7 Morgan- 8 Fuchs- 8 Albrighton- 5 Kante- 9 Drinkwater- 8 Schlupp- 6 Mahrez- 7 Vardy- 8 Subs- Okazaki- 6 Dyer- 6
Dickov22 Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Kasper 6 Didn't have a lot to do Simpson 7 Really solid game against a top winger Huth 7 Best game he's had in a while Morgan 7 Good again Fuchs 8 Pick of the back 4. Looks a proper left back- we've waited years for one! Albrighton 5 Lots of effort but lacking quality Kante 8 Can't remember many other players adapting to the premier league so quickly when they've come from another country Drinkwater 8 MOTM. Love seeing him thrive in the central role- he barely got the opportunity last season. Everywhere Schlupp 7 Very good again. If he believed in himself more he'd be even better Mahrez 6 Quiet but hugely influential- sublime first time pass to Vardy Vardy 7 Run out of superlatives for him. The dink round the keeper was pure class (at the time I thought it was a fluke) Okasaki 7 Thought he did very well actually. Broke the play up, looked stronger than recent weeks Dyer N/A
Kinowe Soorie Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Drinkwater was a beast, my motm. Very strong, good balance and composed!
Leicesterpool Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Difficult call really most of the squad got an 8 from me, can't think of anybody who had an bad game so no one got lower than 6. MOTM I found difficult to pick aswell, tempted to go with Kante though.
ThaiFox Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Ranieri- 7 -Pretty much got most of it right. Schmeichel 7 - One smart save, otherwise a pretty routine afternoon. Still needs to command box better. Simpson 7 - Good game. Not much came in of danger from his side. Much better than De Laet. One rash tackle could have seen him sent off. Morgan 6 - Still don't know why he goes upfield, or why he tries to play it out from the back. Neither work well for him. Otherwise a solid enough game. Huth 8 - Getting better every week. He looks more assured not having to cover for other defenders errors. Fuchs 8 - Another great left back game. Pure class left back. Handball late on was accidental and the 'penalty' could easily have been given. Crosses not so effective as last week. Drinkwater 8 - Another excellent game. Works so well with Kante. Kante 9- Superb. Just works so hard. Allbrighton 6 - Works so hard. Should have been smarter with his crosses though. Unlucky to hit the post with keeper well beaten. Schlupp 6 - Not his best game as nothing really came off for him. Mahrez 7 - Fantastic weighted pass for Vardy, but Palace handled him well. Vardy 8 - Superb chip and finish for goal. Work rate outstanding a sets a real example to every young footballer. subs: Okazaki 6 - Ran around, tackled hard, did nothing else up front to help Vardy. Dyer 5 - Just couldn't get into game. Officials: Mike Dean 6 Today he was better than usual. Makes me wonder if he'd have given that penalty, or sent of Simpson, if Pearson (after his comments) had still been in charge! Palace: Offered very little I thought. We deserved the win. Surprised they are so high in the table.
Weller in Tights Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 Schmeichel 6 - made a couple of decent stops. I don't feel for a moment that he has control over his penalty area and his distribution in the first half was poor. I know it's not a popular opinion but I worry about Kasper. He undoubtedly is a good shot stopper but that is not the whole role of a keeper. Many goals against us come from set pieces put into the box and Kasper rarely comes for these. Yes I know it is the job of the rest of the team as well to defend set pieces, however if you have a keeper that commands the area it gives the whole defence a lift. Also, maybe not the most important thing but certainly something many of us notice with Kasper, is his distribution which at times is woeful. If you said I could replace any two positions with a quality player in January, 1st would be a right back, 2nd would be a keeper.
