TheMightySystem Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Just saw Okazaki's tweet which translates to Now comes Yong, Mr. Lester, daily football is preaching. I can now say that in this overseas increases the value as the Japanese GOALKEEPER. And will prove or how to play overseas. I get the courage and respect. Do you reckon this could be our backup keeper instead of Schwarzer or something different? Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere or is irrelevant. Edit: Just seen its been said in January transfer thread so please merge or remove

Wymsey Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Looks like this guy personally. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiji_Kawashima
TheMightySystem Posted 26 October 2015 Author Posted 26 October 2015 Might announce a new signing soon then if he is training already? Would he replace Hamer or Schwarzer though?
lgfualol Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 20 years younger than Schwarzer so will be good backup
Stevosevic Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Lost his place at Standard Liege and left to pursue more first team football... Not sure why he's decided to join us then
GingerrrFox Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Eiji Kawashima. He's been training with the club for a while. Posted it in the January Transfers topic last week.

TheMightySystem Posted 26 October 2015 Author Posted 26 October 2015 Better translation of that would be 'training daily'Yeh probably apologies if wrong blame Twitter translate
Brainy Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Standard Liege have turned to shit without him.........................................
Captain... Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 He has 72 caps for Japan, but that doesn't mean he is good. Could be a good signing, he is 32 so not a long term prospect, but 10 years younger than old man Schwarzer Hamer is out on loan, is the academy kid who has been on the bench a few times any good?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 we don't really need him, he's not going to beat Kasper and Schwarzer is fine as a second choice keeper
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Not played competitive football since end of 13-14 season according to his wiki page. Might be a bit rusty, decent replacement for Hamer.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 20 years younger than Schwarzer so will be good backup Not much taller than Oka, so far too short for this league.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 on wiki now when I checked wiki we apparently signed him tomorrow
Itsblueuptnorth Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Looking at YouTube he likes pushing the ball back into his penalty area. Probably finds it easier to react that Schwarzer does so get him signed before tomorrow's cup game!
MC Prussian Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Can only do the best in the world to Shinji and his well-being here at the club if he gets a chance to hang out with a compatriot. I think Kagawa's still in his best goalkeeping years and he'd be a great backup for Schmeichel in case Schwarzer decides to call it quits for sure. And that could happen any day, let's face it. He may not be the tallest, but size doesn't need to mean that much for a goalkeeper. Anybody remember a certain Fabien Barthez? Or Jorge Campos?
