Darren Eadie - your memories

Yeah injured all the time. I heard that he only ever scored at Filbert Street when he played for Norwich, but I don't know if that's true or not.

Looking at this his two goals for us were away from home. Can't see him scoring for Norwich against us at Filbo though

When he signed I remember thinking, he's good but doesn't he get injured a lot?

I don't know if that was actually the case before he came to us but that's what I remember.  He was a good footballer though, and also remember thinking that spending that sort of money signing players like that proved we weren't the hoofball team that a lot of knobheads would have you believe we were

As an ex Norwich player scoring from outside the box ,away to Ipswich in the QF win in the Coca Cola cup.

Wasn't that Mark Robins?

I can remember being happy when we signed him but can barely remember him playing.

Of all the players that we have signed over the years, he has probably been the biggest disappointment in terms of signing a genuinely good player with potential to take us to another level & it ultimately going nowhere.  Him or Collymore.

Was with us for three and a half seasons and played 40 games - says it all really. I can't remember seeing him play, although I probably did. Overall, not one of MON's more inspired signings.

I remember a game in the cup from 97. Elliot tackled him right on the sideline and you could hear the crunch from carling stand.

I must have watched him play a couple of times because I remember thinking he was pretty good. My only clear memory is asking my dad if he played at the weekend for years and him answering 'no he's injured' every time lol

Eadie's pace and sharpness were his main attributes, but he never really showed them at Leicester because of his injuries. I was very excited at the time about signing him, but he failed to live up to expectations. My best memory was his goal in a 1-0 smash and grab win at Upton Park on our march to the top of the Premier League under Peter Taylor. We got battered in that game, as Muzzy remembered in his autobiography.

Just a shame he as injured so much because he was an exciting player to watch and would've given the side plenty back then.

I just remember looking at the squad list in the 2002/03 season, seeing him and Jones on it and wondering whether they really existed given they never played. Much like Leon Crncic a few years ago.
