Kevin_Yahoo Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 I'm doing another one of these, guys https://uk.sports.ya...-110646704.html - this time on another former Fox - Darren Eadie. The Norwich fans have been giving their input, but I want to know what you think too. So if you have time to share your memories or opinions of the injury-prone winger, please do so here. Thanks!
filbertstreet Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 just got injured a lot from what I remember
RonnieTodger Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Yeah injured all the time. I heard that he only ever scored at Filbert Street when he played for Norwich, but I don't know if that's true or not.
Alexikokopops Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Yeah injured all the time. I heard that he only ever scored at Filbert Street when he played for Norwich, but I don't know if that's true or not. Looking at this his two goals for us were away from home. Can't see him scoring for Norwich against us at Filbo though
Bellend Sebastian Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 When he signed I remember thinking, he's good but doesn't he get injured a lot? I don't know if that was actually the case before he came to us but that's what I remember. He was a good footballer though, and also remember thinking that spending that sort of money signing players like that proved we weren't the hoofball team that a lot of knobheads would have you believe we were
cambridgefox Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 As an ex Norwich player scoring from outside the box ,away to Ipswich in the QF win in the Coca Cola cup. Bollocks can you do it on Robbins.
RonnieTodger Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Looking at this his two goals for us were away from home. Can't see him scoring for Norwich against us at Filbo though I'm sure I remember him scoring for them on one of the old season review videos form the 90s
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 As an ex Norwich player scoring from outside the box ,away to Ipswich in the QF win in the Coca Cola cup.Wasn't that Mark Robins?
cambridgefox Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Wasn't that Mark Robins?rectified just in time mate.you were right, knew it had a Norwich connection.
pSinatra Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 I can remember being happy when we signed him but can barely remember him playing. Of all the players that we have signed over the years, he has probably been the biggest disappointment in terms of signing a genuinely good player with potential to take us to another level & it ultimately going nowhere. Him or Collymore.
foxoffderby Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Fantantasic at Norwich on the verge of the England squad. Goal scoring winger. Injured at Leicester
LanguedocFox Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Was with us for three and a half seasons and played 40 games - says it all really. I can't remember seeing him play, although I probably did. Overall, not one of MON's more inspired signings.
bovril Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 I remember a game in the cup from 97. Elliot tackled him right on the sideline and you could hear the crunch from carling stand.
Nick Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 After reading the thread title I assumed he had died.
Gerard Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Injured a lot and his Dad supported Leicester are the first two things to mind.
Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 I must have watched him play a couple of times because I remember thinking he was pretty good. My only clear memory is asking my dad if he played at the weekend for years and him answering 'no he's injured' every time
notnow john Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 I remember Scott Parker finished his career with a horrendous assault.
Vicki Vixen Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Eadie's pace and sharpness were his main attributes, but he never really showed them at Leicester because of his injuries. I was very excited at the time about signing him, but he failed to live up to expectations. My best memory was his goal in a 1-0 smash and grab win at Upton Park on our march to the top of the Premier League under Peter Taylor. We got battered in that game, as Muzzy remembered in his autobiography.
Freesolo Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Didn't he play for Norwich? don't really have any memories
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Remember him celebrating our 3rd goal in a 0-3 win at Middlesbrough and sparko'ing Robbie Savage at 28;08
Corky Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 Just a shame he as injured so much because he was an exciting player to watch and would've given the side plenty back then.
The Doctor Posted 28 October 2015 Posted 28 October 2015 I just remember looking at the squad list in the 2002/03 season, seeing him and Jones on it and wondering whether they really existed given they never played. Much like Leon Crncic a few years ago.
