Buzzell Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 She can't have it ! porn stars in California have monthly HIV tests and have to be certified to work in the industry It's very strictly observed But didn't she retire?
SystonFox Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 [gif]:manunitedfansayingDONTCAREinamancaccent:[/gif] What an odd fella
Tuna Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Its been all over twitter for about a week now that Sheen was the HIV actor! Poor Bastard.
Jattdogg Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Here in canada a guy was put in jail for having unprotected sex with women knowing that he was hiv+ and not informing his partners. Wonder if that same type of law exists in america. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnson_Aziga
Thracian Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 It's a tragic and appalling situation. However, the hypocrisy still shines through. Don't people with ebola or every other highly contageous affliction, ever suspect their deveoping condition before it is diagnosed, yet still stay in contact with people?. Even with something as innocuous sounding as flu, which has been a massive killer over the centuries, people still go to work, get on tube trains, gathered in pubs and so on in full knowledge that they might well be passing it on. The only real difference is the "specifics". Someone with HIV is aware of who he/she might be passing it on to. Someone with flu doesn't in the main. It's almost entirely random but just as likely and probably faster spreading as a consequence given how many they can infect in one outing and how many all those infected might infect in every single outing. Seems that HIV is intensely personal and there's far more emotion attached to it than anything like flu or something else that is randomly, but still personally passed, in countless cases. And HIV is considered a killer while most people are considered likely to recover from flu for all that some are desperately vulnerable if they get it. So why the hypocrisy? Are people taking the opportunity to pass moral judgement of a kind they're not nearly so vociferous about when it comes to flu. No I'm not defending Sheen in any way. But to see people almost relishing the witchhunt only re-emphasises the two-faced character of so many people. "Let he or she who's without sin....I think the saying starts."
z-layrex Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Would explain why he went absolutely off his rocker a few years ago, getting sacked from 2 and a half men, all that tiger blood, winning nonsense he was on about for a while, probably when he got diagnosed. With the amount of money he's got and the advances with treatment to it shouldn't think it will have too much impact on his life at all. This is a myth. HIV has a massive impact on your life even with today's treatments.

Well the "specifics" are pretty fvcking huge when it comes to differentiating between HIV and the Flu. And yeah, you are defending him. It's like me punching my mate in the arm, and then you call me two-faced for saying Harold Shipman is a cvnt.
ramboacdc Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 http://news.sky.com/story/1589181/charlie-sheen-reveals-he-is-hiv-positive confirmed
Jon the Hat Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Poor bloke, he is rather a mess isn't he?
ramboacdc Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Poor bloke, he is rather a mess isn't he? had it for 4 years as well!
Jon the Hat Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 had it for 4 years as well! Well that would align with his rather dramatic and public fall from grace.
Captain... Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Why the fvck was he paying millions to keep it a secret? It sucks and is obviously horrible for him, but when you have reportedly slept with thousands of women, I bet he isn't still in touch with them so can't warn them, some of them could be infected and not know and could have spent the last four years infecting others. Instead of paying millions he could have revealed it publicly, everyone who had slept with him would have got tested and it could have prevented the spread of this, even by 1 person, then it would have been worth it. Not to mention he would have saved millions of dollars. As for the blackmailers, equally scumbag, if they were concerned by him spreading this disease they should have forced him to reveal it and not blackmail him.
Jon the Hat Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Maybe he wasn't thinking straight, and thought this would be the end of his career? To be clear, he said it is impossible he could have passed it on to anyone.
Captain... Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Maybe he wasn't thinking straight, and thought this would be the end of his career? To be clear, he said it is impossible he could have passed it on to anyone. It could only be impossible if he found out instantly and never slept with anyone again, which is unlikely as testing isn't instant, and takes days maybe longer before the infection can be identified. Judging by the rate he was allegedly sleeping with people, and the amount of drink and drugs he was consuming, I find it unlikely that it was impossible for him to have infected anyone between being infected and it being identified, unless he was told straight after sleeping with the person he caught it from.
RonnieTodger Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Why is announcing it on TV? Odd thing to do but odd bloke.
Finnegan Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Ugh. I hate that I live in a world where this is even news
srbfox Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Ugh. I hate that I live in a world where this is even news Personally I have learnt more today about the subject then I ever had. I say good on him for making it public on TV. I know he may have been a bit of a bell but if it can help one person then good on him
Stevosevic Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 It does raise awareness, there's a lot of people who are pretty irresponsible when it comes to unprotected sex and aren't really aware of the possible true consequences. I assume this is where CS contracted the virus.
srbfox Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 How many people on here have ever been tested for the HIV virus, It's bloody scarey!
Richard Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 The advancement of ARVs mean you can live a pretty much normal life even if you're hiv positive. What would be more worrying to him is there is legal precedent in being prosecuted for grievous bodily harm for having unprotected sex whilst knowing your are HIV positive
Vardinhio Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 How many people on here have ever been tested for the HIV virus, It's bloody scarey! Don't see why its that scary, part of the standard MOT these days..
Captain... Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Don't see why its that scary, part of the standard MOT these days.. I presume he means after having a scare, not just sexual health check up.
ScouseFox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Ugh. I hate that I live in a world where this is even news in what world would someone who, like it or not, is incredibly high profile announcing on live tv they have HIV not be news?
bovril Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Je suis charlie. Edited to say apart from the hookers and blow.
