Lineker's Left Foot Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 With Man City only yesterday having some Chinese investment, it got me wondering whether we'll be due some investment for the Chinese considering that Shilai Liu is on the board and he too is a Billionaire apparently. Can only be good for our progression one thinks

Can only be good for our progression one thinks How do you know he hasn't invested already?
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 As strange as it may sound, I don't want it. The moment you start get more billionaires pumping money in, the moment Leicester loses its soul. I like our owners as they are, I like being a "good old club" and I like being the underdogs. I would hate us to turn into another Man City, Chelsea etc
filbertstreet Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 I mean yeah Thailand is pretty close to China I guess
johnny the fox Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 The trouble with Chinese investment is you feel like some more investmsnt half an hour later...
Wymsey Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Would the Thais be willing to sell any of their stakes, I highly doubt that they would (certainly in the current situation). We're stable as anything, and don't really need unknown investors to get involved at present or in the near-future.
Webbo Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Bit random isn't it? Why Chinese and not American or Russian?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 2 December 2015 Author Posted 2 December 2015 Bit random isn't it? Why Chinese and not American or Russian? Just in the wake of Manchester City's new investment and we have Shilai Liu on the board
st albans fox Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Bit random isn't it? Why Chinese and not American or Russian? Because Chinese money will probably be longer lasting and not require a 'return' on the investment American money is purely a business investment Liverpool could have taken gulf money instead of hicks and Gillette . Silly sods
Guest Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 I'm struggling to comprehend the relevance of this. Nothing wrong with where we are at.
Webbo Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Just in the wake of Manchester City's new investment and we have Shilai Liu on the board Pretty sure Crystal Palace have just had some American investment.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 2 December 2015 Author Posted 2 December 2015 Pretty sure Crystal Palace have just had some American investment. Yeah they have mi duck
stripeyfox Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 I don't think the Thai's are looking for, or need investment. They have plenty of money if they need it and will continue to reap the rewards if we continue to be in the Premiership. I don't see them wanting to share with Chinese, or any other investors.
filbertstreet Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Yeah they have mi duck first they nick our flags now they're stealing our ducks
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 2 December 2015 Author Posted 2 December 2015 first they nick our flags now they're stealing our ducks Quack quack
Bayfox Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Can we ask them to take on the catering. Decent soup. Few spare ribs and egg fried rice. Jobs a gud Un.
MooseBreath Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 Bit of a misleading thread title. We might be we might not. I doubt it would make much difference either way. I get them impression Vichai's pockets are still pretty full.
Clever Fox Posted 2 December 2015 Posted 2 December 2015 The difference with our Owners is that their in it for the Football and the Club I believe. whereas a lot of the new Owners at other Clubs are in it for the Investment. In some cases have stripped out the wealth from clubs and then run for the hills. I think we're extremely lucky with the Owners we have.

les-tah Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 The american use it as a business yet i think other billionaires from other countries use it like a real life football manager game for fun.
Tincy Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 I'll be investing in a Chinese takeaway later if that counts?
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Leicester City is part of the King Power brand, other than enjoyment the owners rightly deserve a bit of brand promotion having put their balls on the line. Obviously now this has paid off, would they want to dissolve this impact and why would investors really want to share it?
Merchant_Banker Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Leicester City is part of the King Power brand, other than enjoyment the owners rightly deserve a bit of brand promotion having put their balls on the line. Obviously now this has paid off, would they want to dissolve this impact and why would investors really want to share it? They may want to realise some of their profit. Given where we are now they may get back a decent chunk of what they put in. This may be more of a British/American attitude though. I think Far East attitudes focus more on the long term.
