Jackster21 Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 I live down south in Brighton and for a while I have been thinking off moving to Leicester. Reasons for this is so I can see Leicester play a lot more and I'm a it bored of Brighton. Any tips on nice areas in Leicester. Maybe a middle class area. Also what is is like in Leicester as a place to live.
lavrentis Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Bored of Brighton? Not sure Leicester's the best place for you
SystonFox Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Come live with me pal anything Brighton can't offer I'm sure I can
Trav Le Bleu Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Saffron Lane is nice and not far from the ground...
Stadt Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Depends if you want to live in the county or the city, the villages out in the county are much nicer.
Webbo Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Come live with me pal anything Brighton can't offer I'm sure I can There's plenty of what you're offering in Brighton.
Guest Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Middle Class eh.. Braunstone is definitely the place for you

Guest MattP Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Lots of places in the Shire are beautiful, the City Centre is a bit of a dump though.

Jon the Hat Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Lots of places in the Shire are beautiful, the City Centre is a bit of a dump though. Well yes. The same can be said for East and West Sussex countryside, all of which is a stone's throw from Brighton.
DennisNedry Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 South Leicestershire... Countesthorpe, Blaby, Enderby, Narborough etc etc... nice areas but not too far from the city.
Vicki Vixen Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Are you sure? Football aside I can see no logical reason to move from Brighton to Leicester. And I live in Horsham. Cost of living is a lot lower in Leics, Brighton prices are almost as high as London.
lianne81 Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Loads to do in Brighton and surrounding areas , depends why you are bored off it but other places in our area cater for different things. x
Brizzle Fox Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 South Leicestershire... Countesthorpe, Blaby, Enderby, Narborough etc etc... nice areas but not too far from the city.[/quot God no. That's where I come from. Managed to escape many years ago. Parents live there and I have to visit. Why do you want to move to Leicester again? You can get in and out quite quickly if just football. Best option.
Benguin Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Rearsby is pretty middle class without being too far away from the city and you also have Syston and Melton nearby as well. Leicester isn't exactly a place you'd find being sought after on one of those moving house TV shows though.

Benguin Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Why not just move to Syston? Because I'm from there and whilst there are some very nice houses I think I'd be exaggerating to describe it as 'middle class'
separator Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Why not just move to Syston? Melton's better, Jamie Vardy has even bought a house there.
fuchsntf Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Between the stars and Heavans.....Braunstone and New Parks. BLAND ROAD is in the center, brightest star.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 15 December 2015 Posted 15 December 2015 Melton's better, Jamie Vardy has even bought a house there. Melton is famous for 2P's and 3C's. Pork Pies, Cheese, Chavs and Chlamydia. Also, look out towards the sticks. Leicestershire is a lovely albeit boring county.
Bayfox Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Rearsby is pretty middle class without being too far away from the city and you also have Syston and Melton nearby as well. Leicester isn't exactly a place you'd find being sought after on one of those moving house TV shows though. None of the people in Rearsby would like to be called/described as Middle class. House prices there are ridiculous for what they are. Syston has a lot more going for it. If you want a few amenities, pubs, 10 mins on the train to town. Rearsby is full or some right pretentious pricks. I should know I lived there for 10 years. And although now in Goscote some how paid a premium for my house thanks to royal mail giving me a Rearsby postal address. However if you find yourself over this way. I'm the not so pretentious one at the bar in the horse and groom pub, with the chav boy racer car lowering the tone
