Leicester: Best vantage point(s) in the city

A rather urgent request: Does anybody know where in the city center you can get the best view of Leicester from high above (e.g. in a top deck restaurant, café, on a tower, etc.)?

In the ideal case, it ought to be public access.

Some of the tall buildings at Leicester Uni, on town side of Victoria Park, might be worth trying - and would be possible to access, I'd imagine.

 

That part of the city is on higher ground than the centre, so should offer decent views across the city.

 

Only if you want fairly broad views of the city, though. If you want better close-up views of the centre, you'd want somewhere more central.

Not great really, you get a decent view of the highcross and the immediate surrounding areas but not a lot else

I can confirm that there is a superb view from the university high-rises. However, you won't get in without uni ID.
