Gerard Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Stranger things have happened. All of us are going to be on the edge of our collective seat for the whole of the January window. I doubt anyone goes; I actually expect us to buy some CB support or some pieces so we can account for the knocks we have just picked up. If it's wages he wants, pay the man his damn money and let's go secure a Champions League spot. I believe the club when they've stated categorically that no one leaves in January. Our squad will be stronger on January 31st not weaker.
urban.spaceman Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Anyone who comes in with a £30m bid for Vardy, we should tell them to treble it. Then tell them to fvck off. He's worth hundreds of millions to the club in terms of what he can help us achieve this season. It is literally not worth selling him for any price whatsoever. Exactly the same for Mahrez. They're priceless at the minute. We don't need to sell them or any of our players.
SecretPro Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Obviously i do not want him to go as i WANT to see how far we can go, the only way we will know is after January all i am saying is IF someone came in for Vardy and offered that sort of money at 30M and above i think the club and Vardy would find it very hard to decline. As i said before we shall see who is right if the offer comes in, im hoping it doesn't. Think you are overestimating the £30m. £30m is **** all to us right now. Vardy is literally the be all and end all (as the lack of goals from other strikers has shown). If Vardy wants £150,000 a week I'd give it him, screw the wage cap. We are MASSIVE now.
SecretPro Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 If Vards or anyone else puts in a transfer request, that's a different story. As it stands right now, if Vardy doesn't want to go, we don't need the money in any way shape or form.
CharlieCharles Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Being 28 pushing 29 its now or never in terms of a major money move. (would surely be on 150k+ if he did go to Chelsea) He could also be thinking its his last chance to go to a big club, yes i know we are top of the league but compared to Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd we are a small club. Or he might think Leicester play for my style and he plays everygame.. who knows? Personally i think we should be more worried about Mahrez leaving than Vardy. Not in the way that i would not be bothered, but Mahrez has already started dropping hints when Vardy has came out and said his future lies with us.
PhillippaT Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 £30m wouldn't even buy a signed photo of his celebration against either club!! I scrolled too quickly and thought that said "signed potato" - which I thought was about right
The Year Of The Fox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 He's said on itv news today he's staying. Pointless thread. As someone has already said he's priceless to us atm
Matt Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 shove it up their arse, i don't want. neither do the owners. neither does he.
MPH Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 There's some greedy agents about. They will be the ones responsible for silly stories leading up to the opening of the transfer window....

My Nads Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Chelsea are looking very desperate all of a sudden. Jose's pay off, new manager wages, a team worth about half of what it was last year and very little chance of Champions league football and a new stadium on the way. Can they actually afford to buy a player for £30M without selling first? Even without FFP being enforced, I would say they are on the bones of their arse. Remember Abromovich has only ever lent Chelsea money.
Manwell Pablo Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Can't believe anyone would pay that for him tbh, playing like he is for us he'd unquestionably be worth it but there's a high chance given his career history he'd fail to make a immediate impact and he'd end up flopping. He'll stay where he is until summer I think anyway regardless.
Webbo Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 It could be an attempt to unsettle our players by a rival team. The club have said they're not for sale and the players haven't expressed any desire to leave. Nothing to see here, move along.
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 No amount of money is worth considering. It could be £3 million, £30 million, it doesn't really matter, because he is irreplaceable regardless of how much is offered. Heskey went and we ended up with Benjamin. Be careful what you wish for. The owners are loaded and we have absolutely no need to sell at all.

The club have said they're not for sale and the players haven't expressed any desire to leave. Nothing to see here, move along. Agree, I said this would happen after the chelsea match, they'll be a lot more to come and it's probably why the players and Ranieri have stated they're going nowhere to keep the ship steady while the bullshit flows. People need to remember this and when the shit stirs don't run around panicking, stay calm and don't feed the rumours which will only increase the bullshit. Cntinue to support the team as we all have been, think how we got behind the team on Monday night and take strength from that. They are both staying.
WesMorganGod Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 It would be the biggest mistake we ever made if we sold Vardy, I don't care how much money, the money is worthless to us fans, all that will happen is the money will go into the bank and some might be used in the summer for various average players. We must keep Vardy, its impossible to find strikers these days who can score consistently. forget the price.. its no sale.

FireFox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 How much more money will we earn finishing in the top 3? PL prize money, more TV money, Champions League money (maybe Europa League money if we finish 3rd in our group)... Also the "KP brand" will be worth more, maybe better sponsorship deals, etc. Surely 30m is not enough to cover all that potential money coming in? If losing Vardy means we likely miss out on the top 3/4, then it just doesn't make sense to sell for 30m.
