justfoxes Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 What's your thought on the latest from the gutter press allegedly reporting Manure and Chelski bidding £30m for Jamie Vardy in January ?
HighPeakFox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 I'm not really surprised or bothered at what they say
SecretPro Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Gutter press is exactly what it is. Absolute horse shit. How Journo's manage to carve a living out of making up bullshit I will never know.
WinslowFox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 £30m wouldn't even buy a signed photo of his celebration against either club!!
Cincinnati Fox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Also said Chelsea to bid 20m for Pella at Southampton Just link anyone and everything by putting 2 and 2 together
FoxyPalace.com Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Its a lot of cash but not in Premier League terms. What will Vardy be like when he loses his pace? Thats something to mull over!
richardsfoxes Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Doubt it true but if they did i'd accept it, be stupid not to 30M for a 28 year old, as much as i love everything about Jamie 30M is a lot of doe.
Jaspa Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 It keeps up by five million or so every couple'a games

Basically giving up on what at this point has the potential to be the best season in the clubs history. Certainly recent history.

I don't understand this, our owners are billionaires and we'll be making at least £180m each year soon enough. We don't need the money and we don't need to sell unless the player is throwing a hissy.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 What would our owners rather take, 30m or a potential shot at the champions league? I don't think they'd sell for 50m. Unless he demands a move that is.
richardsfoxes Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Obviously i dont want him to leave but every player has his price, i'm sure man utd didn't want to sell Ronaldo either or Everton selling rooney to Utd.

Let alone in January of a special season like this. Also Ronaldo was a world record fee and Everton weren't as wealthy as we are now.
richardsfoxes Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Money talks unfortunately, regardless of what you or i think, it runs football, if you think that our owners and jamie would reject a bid from utd or Chelsea your out of your mind. Vardy would get 5x what he is paid here with the bonus of the chance of competing for titles year in year out, we'd get 30 Million for a 28 year old regardless of form or whatever, give me a list of players that have joined a team for over 28M at the age of 28 and above.

Which I find astonishing.
Bayfox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 £30m wouldn't even buy a signed photo of his celebration against either club!! Actually it's 129 quid for a signed photo of him scoring against man Utd. Try lcfcprints.com
SecretPro Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 He aint leaving. Top goal scorer in the prem with lowly little Leicester means that tranfer speculation around him would be rife even if he came out and said "I'm staying at Leicester forever and all other teams are shit".
Bluetintedspecs Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Both players(including Mahrez) clearly said v happy here and don't want to move, Ranieri clearly stated no sale....Non story!
Countryfox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 What's your thought on the latest from the gutter press allegedly reporting Manure and Chelski bidding £30m for Jamie Vardy in January ? Jeez !!! .... I doubt if I'll sleep tonight !!!
theessexfox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 I think £100 mil would be enough to make us consider for a few seconds, before we said no.
UPinCarolina Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Stranger things have happened. All of us are going to be on the edge of our collective seat for the whole of the January window. I doubt anyone goes; I actually expect us to buy some CB support or some pieces so we can account for the knocks we have just picked up.If it's wages he wants, pay the man his damn money and let's go secure a Champions League spot.

You're missing the point though. We have a once in a life time opportunity to do something this season that could potentially turn us into a top club. A club like Leicester don't go out and replace Vardy no matter what the offer, if we sell Vardy we sell our dreams and potential with him. If Vardy goes then players like Mahrez and Kante may as well go with him because we're accepting our place is to try and be a mid table PL club at the very best.

Which I find astonishing. Obviously i do not want him to go as i WANT to see how far we can go, the only way we will know is after January all i am saying is IF someone came in for Vardy and offered that sort of money at 30M and above i think the club and Vardy would find it very hard to decline. As i said before we shall see who is right if the offer comes in, im hoping it doesn't.
