Countryfox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 We should invest now as next season chelsea, man u, liverpool will be better teams. Don't need much just another striker along side vardy and replacements for inler, kramaric and benaluane if they leave. If we invest in the summer we will be 'better' next season too.
Stevosevic Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 How deep are the owners pockets? If they want to be an established top 5/6 club, then it's likely we will have to sign a big name at some point.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 ... I have absolutely no problems with Schlupp stepping back into the team if Fuchs was injured/ fatigued etc ... totally committed and loyal player for the club .. I disagree. I've never rated him, and the stats on the much lower number of goals we've conceded with Fuchs at left back as opposed to Jeff is staggering. It's chalk and cheese. One is top drawer, the other I personally would get rid of. As for him being committed (I don't think he tries hard enough) and loyal (him getting tens of thousands of pound notes per week may have some bearing on why he's here). And yes I am having a go at Jeff for the reasons stated - if someone's go a problem with that then ...bollox to them.

If they want to be an established top 5/6 club, then it's likely we will have to sign a big name at some point. Regular top 4 is probably the target for the season after next ...... the question is whether they want to fast forward that now in light of our current performance. Both the owners and CR would seem to me to prefer the more slow and cautious approach ... which might well be the best way to do it. Who knows ? If they are the next raft of signings will come in the summer.
Fox92 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I'd go for Austin. His goalscoring record is brilliant - including 18 at Premier League level - and he is a hardworking player. He would fit into the pressing style of our team. With his contract up at the end of the season there's no doubt he'd be available for considerably less than what he offered in the summer.
Littletoe Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Sky Sports Headlines 22/12/2015 16.43" Leicester City have made an official enquiry at Sunderland to acquire themselves with one of their star players. The Foxes are set to splash the cash in January, in the hope of reaching heights the club have yet to witness in recent history. When asked at a Belvoir Drive training session, Claudio Ranieri gave us an idea of his plans to recruit certain players during the January transfer window, thus quoting " He is a player that i like. He has a ferocious bite in the midfield that has all of the premiership teams in disbelief when he plays to his strengths. Lee is a player that is highly regarded among European football and especially here at Leicester City. "The foxes are yet unable to offer a bid before the transfer window opens, but we are expecting in a region of £22 Million pounds to be offered to Sunderland, to secure Catermoles services to the King Power outfit. This will be a new club record and will be sure, to push Kante out of the starting Lineup for the remainder of the season.Andy Burton - Sky Sports News
Lestoh Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 The spelling and grammar in that "report" are enough to convince me it's a load of shit, nevermind the fact anyone would consider paying £22m for Lee fvcking Cattermole

biggs Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 To hold our best players belief in Leicester as a team to stay with, we need to improve the squad's depth. A few players of top quality and attitude

Andy Burton - Sky Sports News Push Kante out......now that is a stupid statement. Kante has been fabulous for us and for sure if LC was picked up, Ranieri would use them both as he sees fit through the remainder of the season. You don;t just drop one of your best players. deep blue Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 To those of you who are worried about new signings in January, as long as it's done in the usual way we do (with careful research and with an eye to the long term) it can help to give an extra injection for the second half of a gruelling season, and also to push on right from the start of next season with a player who is already integrated into the club and will have a full preseason behind him too. Prime example is Mahrez.
simon789us Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Would like any new signings in early not last minute deals
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Would like any new signings in early not last minute deals Even if they are made last minute it won't be a panic buy. We don't need to panic buy this time round that's the beauty behind it!
vandamman Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Bournemouth have apparently signed Iturbe from Roma on loan with a view to a permanent move. Think we need to follow suit with a similar deal and build on what we have. One marquee signing such as another winger would be a real boost to the team in my opinion. I think we have enough options up front to see us through to the end of the season.
My Nads Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Isn't Austin always injury prone? Isn't everyone always injury prone? :xmaslaugh:
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Do you some of you EVER give up! Cattermole or Cambiasso Col?
