  1. 1. Do we sign more in January and risk upsetting the squad

    • Yes, we need more quality and depth.
    • No, these are the players to take us to glory.

any rumours in regard to anyone wanting our players apart from Vardy and Mahrez?

Its obvious which players need replacing but what are the chances of us actually freeing up places in the 25 man squad?

Inler to villa on a loan is the only one ive seen and that was on here!

would loaning out players be the most realistic option as no one is likely to match the wages they're currently on?

Sounds like Benny's on his way out, number of teams supposedly interested in Kram, Inler as you say. Even if only two leave I'd say we can improve.

I'd be on the lookout for players to come in on loan rather than buy. I'm sure there are some good players sitting on the bench elsewhere who would like a chance to show what they can do.

Anyone seen him play any good where's the source for this man

He is a CB its not likely you will find a video of his amazing goals and skills

We need another striker to play alongside Vardy. I would keep Okazaki, but get rid of Ulloa and Kramaric. If we can sell them, that ought to raise £15/20m.Kramaric will probably end up in Italy and Ulloa is the sort of player that would attract the likes of Sunderland and Norwich.

Here's my list of potential strikers:

Troy Deeney - really like his pace, which would be ideally suited to our style. Has adapted to the Premiership really well. Can we prise him away from Watford? We may have Champions League football to offer. Valuation - £10m.

Bafetimbi Gomis - started really well with Swansea (along with Ayew and Montero) but has tailed off since. A track record of scoring in the Premier League, and would add some height to the team. Valuation - £8m.

Charlie Austin - he would be a long shot in my opinion, bearing in mind he's currently playing in the Championship and the injury problems he has endured. Did well last year in the Premier League. Valuation - £8m.

Shane Long - liked the look of him in the recent victory over Arsenal. Has pace to burn. Valuation - £8m.

Edin Dzeko - currently out on loan with Roma. I doubt that Man City would want him to play for us, so this may be a non-starter. Proven Premiership experience. Valuation - £12m.

No chance for Deeney, they refused 10M before his Prem experience so 15m+ in Jan.  I'm not a fan of him but he is loyal to Watford and a key player, I'm sure Superhorns can fill in more but everything positive at the club seems to be based around him.

I believe Austin is injured at the moment so not sure how a medical would work with that going on.  It's his second month block out with injury this season and I don't think he'd compliment Vardy as he would work better in his position rather than just behind.

Dzeko would never happen in Jan but should be the level we are after and hopefully convince next season if we are in Europe.  Dzeko/Vardy with Carillo/Albrighton getting the crosses in and Mahrez floating in from the right and

Shane Long would be a good secondary striker, he seems too good to be sitting on the bench but never puts a run in to convince a manager he's the main man.

I can't see us signing a forward from the Prem, they fall into the following categories,  not for sale, too expensive, under performing or needed by their club.

If Deeney/Ighalo or any other main striker were sold that could cost them several places in the league which then in turn makes them lose several millions pounds in place winnings and everyone knows that the money is going up next season so Prem teams get overcharged.

I forgot to include Arnautovic from Stoke in my original list. Have been impressed with him this season.

In terms of other possible additions to the squad, if we are looking for a winger:

Robbie Brady

Andros Townsend

Nathan Redmond

Jefferson Montero

We should go for a proven premier league Striker , Austin an option or Bony

and also Bojan has a £10m buyout in his contract , we should get after him

Leicester have agreed a deal with Birmingham for winger Demarai Gray after the Premier League club activated a £3.7m release clause[/size]

But has Gray agreed terms, passed his medical and signed on the dotted line yet? I would imagine Everton have come in far too late to hijack the deal, but I'm still nervous until we get confirmation.

Valuation - £8m. - Have you seen him jump? he's like a salmon! - Not slow, good control, can score goals, quality in the air, strong. Absolutely.

Charlie Austin - he would be a long shot in my opinion, bearing in mind he's currently playing in the Championship and the injury problems he has endured. Did well last year in the Premier League. Valuation - £8m. - I'd take him.

Shane Long - liked the look of him in the recent victory over Arsenal. Has pace to burn. Valuation - £8m. - I suggested this, love the guy, Can score if in the right formation etc not sure ours would get the best out of him but his link up play is quality, very quick too.

Edin Dzeko - currently out on loan with Roma. I doubt that Man City would want him to play for us, so this may be a non-starter. Proven Premiership experience. Valuation - £12m. - Wages would be more than double everyone else, not sure it would do morale any good personally.

Austin for me.

Mobile centre forward, good in the air, good on the ball, will score goals (18 in a relegated side is very very impressive) and his style fits in with ours - he will chase and work hard. Will be available for less than £10million now surely with his contract being up in the summer. Ferdinand has already stated he'll probably leave.

Ulloa, Inler & Kramaric can all go as far as I'm concerned. They have not come up to the standard required when, admittedly, the few and far between chances they've had. That being the case we do need a target man upfront and another competent midfielder.

Yep I've answered that in the Transfer News forum under Jan transfers wish list etc. ......

I do wonder what has happened to Ulloa, last season he was Prem quality, this season he looks really out of sorts and low on confidence.

Maybe the change of manager and Esteban leaving had more of an effect on him?

I'd buy a new striker and either loan him or sell after that performance against Bournemouth because he really seems stuck in a rut.

As soon as he's playing regularly where he's involved and important he'll do fine again. He's one of these gangly, awkward looking strikers who'll trouble a lot of defences if we play to his strengths but it's just not our style.

In fact it's hard to sumarise our style any more because one aspect contradicts the other so often.

Forgive me but, as far as I can gather, Austin doesn't have the slightest interest in playing for us, unless the London boundaries have been extended.

I suggested a player. That's all. I don't know in which location he wants to play.
