richardsfoxes Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I cant be the only one who has thought recently how good Knockaert would of been in this team behind Vardy this season, I dont like dwelling on the past but even thinking about the team with him in it on paper so much creativity, do you think it would of been a success?
Babylon Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 No. ...we've seen how Mahrez struggled in that position a few times and he's a cut above Tony.
ScouseFox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 agreed, resign knockaert anthony knockaert i just dont think you understand that if you resign knockaert itll make everyone dead happy
goose2010 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Going to be a bit controversial here Knockaert wasn't THAT good, he was good but that was about it, he thought he was better and was a fans favourite for the stuff he did but would hit fit into our team now? no chance especially in the 'number 10' role if Mahrez on the form he is in this season looked lost there imagine Knockaert there. Would be a waste of a player.
Littletoe Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 No, i think the same mate. But unfortunately, it didn't work out for some strange reason behind the scenes, because it wasn't his football ability as the reason he was moved on, that's for sure.
AKCJ Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 No, i think the same mate. But unfortunately, it didn't work out for some strange reason behind the scenes, because it wasn't his football ability as the reason he was moved on, that's for sure. if he didn't get the boot for his football ability then its because he still owes everyone an apology and a refund from that game against shrewsbury last season.

Knockaert will always be one of us, and that's good enough for us all. Miss him, but glad he's found a good home where he can play European football too.
Littletoe Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 if he didn't get the boot for his football ability then its because he still owes everyone an apology and a refund from that game against shrewsbury last season. That's petty as ****. What about the numerous times he won us games and produced moments of magic? I never forget being behind the goal when he scored a free kick against Sheffield Wednesday, to near enough garentue us promotion back to the Premiership. That Shrewsbury game meant nothing
MooseBreath Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Don't think he'd have been an improvement on Okazaki or Ulloa, maybe not even on Kramaric. He might have been a decent back up winger but his lack of pace really hinders him at this level.
Charl91 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I miss Knockaert. I reckon he really could have stepped up another level, like a lot of our players have done.
Fox42 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I feel that L Dyer would have more of an impact than Knocky had we kept both.

MATLCFC Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Tony lacked pace, this was his biggest down fall. Tony with pace = Mahrez. He had nice feet and was skillful but the Championship is his level IMO
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Nah was too slow IMO. Mahrez always looked like he had the ability to step up to the PL whereas I wasn't convinced with knockaert unfortunately
Nick Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I feel that L Dyer would have more of an impact than Knocky had we kept both. I think we moved on from both for a reason. Good Lord, what's it going to be like when we have to replace some of this team they'll be outrage! Wes, Huth, Was and King will be on Zimmer frames and people will still be making arguments for them to stay. Move on people!

I'm with you mate ! I also think Frank Worthington might be worth getting back ..... or Keith Weller. And just like you I don't like dwelling in the past.
STUHILL Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Was great in the Championship and not given enough game time in the Prem, but the amount of times he stuck his head down and ran into defenders, losing the ball or selfishly shooting from 40 yards out, was becoming annoying and showing he wasn't ready or isn't Premiership quality. It has been a good move for him and no I don't want to resign him, mainly because I don't think he would get anymore game time than he did before.
DennisNedry Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Nah, Knockaert isn't Premier League level. Probably one of the most overrated players we've had this century imo.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 agreed, resign knockaert anthony knockaert i just dont think you understand that if you resign knockaert itll make everyone dead happy Please let's try and get this chant going against Liverpool or Man City.
Fox92 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 He lacked pace. Mahrez isn't the strongest player and gets knocked off the ball but at least he has that burst of pace.
