Garyneville Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 I know they are appalling - but they play crystal palace at home Tuesday 12th. We are in London away at Tottenham Wednesday 13th. So not only do they have an extra days rest, they are also at home both games, when we are away both games. Our players are already starting to look a little fatigued near the end of games, and we tend to play the same 11 nearly every game. How has this been allowed to happen?

Conspiracy to try and get us relegated I think.
AKCJ Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 We should beat them even if we had to play Spurs the day before to be fair.

We could go straight to Villa Park from WHL and still smash Villa.
Garyneville Posted 4 January 2016 Author Posted 4 January 2016 Well they have Wycombe in the fa cup - if they can win that and then manage to fluke a win against palace, they will all of a sudden have a bit of momentum. I wouldn't say it is going to be a walkover just yet. Also if we get beat by spurs twice and then how will this affect confidence. Just saying the Aston villa game won't be as easy as everyone expects due to circumstances leading up to the game. But I hope I'm wrong

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 I think we could field 11 of these against Villa And still win comfortably

It's london mate, not Kazakhstan
kingcarr21 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 We've had fixtures this season where we have had extra rest. I don't see what the big problem is. Its why clubs have 25 man squads. Also everyone plays the same league games home and away. Sometimes you are away a couple of games and sometimes the opposite. Why does it bother you? I bet Villa would rather play away from home as well so the booing from their fans isn't as loud.
Garyneville Posted 4 January 2016 Author Posted 4 January 2016 It's london mate, not Kazakhstan I admire your confidence! Sorry for pointing out that they have an unfair advantage. It's obviously completely fair, I'm sure ranieri won't be bothered at all.
Stadt Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 It's the fixture list and how it works, we'll have an "advantage"on some teams this season and some teams will have one over us, deal with it

It's obviously completely fair, I'm sure ranieri won't be bothered at all. Ranieri wont be bothered cause he knows that's how the fixture list works. Some games you have a slight advantage (it is only a slight advantage) and some games the opposition has the slight advantage. Look at it this way if you're so bothered about it. What team would you rather give this ever so slight advantage to? A top team or a team who are absolutely dead and buried. I would hand Villa the slight advantage out of pity since they're so woeful.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 We should beat them even if we had to play Spurs the day before to be fair. I reckon we could play one game, have a 20 minute breather, then beat Villa straight after :xmaslaugh:
Dan Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 We could be playing in Afghanistan on the Friday night I'd still fancy us to slap this Villa side.
Carl the Llama Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 JESUS CHRIST HAVE NONE OF YOU HEARD OF A JINX?
katieakita Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Whats more of a disadvantage, 1 day less rest or being Aston Villa.
manchester fox Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 Get ready for this to happen throughout next season when we're romping the Champions league on our way to the double
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 As Wookie says, I'm sure there'll be an occasion where we've benefited from the fixture list. Nothing to get worked up about.
Brooksy Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 We could play 11 Inlers and still beat Villa comfortably.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 I admire your confidence! Sorry for pointing out that they have an unfair advantage. It's obviously completely fair, I'm sure ranieri won't be bothered at all. Double post-iPhone fingers...

It's obviously completely fair, I'm sure ranieri won't be bothered at all. It might be a slight advantage, but unfair? An odd and slightly childish phrase. They have one less day to get ready for their midweek game, so presumably that's unfair too? Sounds a bit like all the Big 4 fans claiming we were only top because of our easy run of fixtures-nonsense. If conspiracies are your thing though, maybe GaryNeville would be better as JoseMourinho?
Stadt Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 We've got the advantage really if you think about it because Alan Hutton plays for them
kingcarr21 Posted 4 January 2016 Posted 4 January 2016 JESUS CHRIST HAVE NONE OF YOU HEARD OF A JINX? Well yes, an ice/psychic type. Not sure what that has to do with anything though
