and..... AND.... how long is the grass at villa park?... also, can someone measure the height of the goals and the psi of the balls?

Fixtures like this happen every season, it's nothing new. We just played two home games back to back and half the teams played two away games back to back. It's just how football works, nothing unfair about it as it all evens out.

I know they are appalling - but they play crystal palace at home Tuesday 12th.

We are in London away at Tottenham Wednesday 13th.

So not only do they have an extra days rest, they are also at home both games, when we are away both games.

Our players are already starting to look a little fatigued near the end of games, and we tend to play the same 11 nearly every game.

How has this been allowed to happen?

Read your own post 3 times. Then think it over...

If you still feel the same......I really do have sympathy for all your associates, friends, family and pets..

Think the only way to rectify this is for Villa to turn up on Saturday and us to turn up on Sunday.

I mean, FFS.

I'd still fancy villa to conceed to be honest.

Need to get used to playing Wednesday then Saturday in the champs league

Thank goodness we will be in the Champions League rather than the Thursday/Sunday matches in Europa.

If you look at any one week, some teams will benefit and other won't. It should all even out when looking at the entire season.

Yes lets fix the FA cup draw.

We have lost to Harlow and Wycombe.

Grow up the fixtures are as they are how many times do teams face each other in a short space of time.

did we not play Wimbledon 3times in 4weeks when we won the league cup.

Rather a random draw than a fix.

This is a small piddling premier league fixture between a top 2 side and relegation certs whose sole ambition this season should be to acquire more points than Derby County did (still not looking likely).

The World Cup final has more or less the exact same scenario with even bigger travel distances and times between semi final venues, their bases and the final venue, a lot more at stake and a billion times more pressure.

It's really not a big deal - teams are usually well aware of fixture changes before the date and will factor this in to their preparation several weeks before.

This scenario has occurred thousands times in the last 150 years of football. Why are you only finding out about it now? The time to dcomplain about it is when you're bottom of the league playing the big boys, not the other way around

What a good old moaning thread lol Whats Leicester to london about 100 miles? Just think if you was a fan of a team in a country like russia Australia or usa, i know there isn't many as they are shit leagues but a mid week trip to london would be considered local lol and if we do make it into Europe there will be plenty of mid week miles to travel. Villa are shit anyway so who cares.

is the OP seriously worried about this lol.

Does he realise that we've also just had 2 home games on the trot and had an extra days rest than other teams before the Man City game lol (everyone else but Sunderland/Liverpool) played on Monday 28th after playing on Saturday 26th)

The season starts the same day and finishes the same day with the same number of home and away games.

Everything evens out.

Not really relevant chief considering Man City had the same amount of rest.

We did however have one day less of rest than Bournemouth. Fix!

nah i get that, it's just an irrelevant point by the op. My point was that over the course of the season it happens to most teams at any one point where they have a day extra rest.
