AyewJoking Posted 7 January 2016 Posted 7 January 2016 Unfortunately, it'll never be Jerusalem. No doubt that would be seen as a controversial choice because of the religious connection to it. It'll be something completely new, written by One Direction or some shite. As if One Direction write their own songs........... I see your point.
foxfanazer Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Hate GSTQ, dull and dreary. Goes well with our performances to be honest Need something to get us pumped like the Brazil anthem. Bit of Prodigy or something
Samilktray Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Do people really care about the national anthem?
davieG Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 We should have our own anthem for English events and the National anthem should relate to the country not the Windsors also I'm not religious and I have no more desire to save the queen than anyone else.
yorkie1999 Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 Not Jerusalem. The spurs fans will be over like a rash.
Carl the Llama Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 New York New York by Sinatra could be a shout.
orangecity23 Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 Land of Hope and Glory, with full pomp and circumstance intro. Partly just to annoy people with a long intro anytime an English person wins anything, partly so we can outdo Italy's intro.
notnow john Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 Why does it have to be an old hymn? Why not a rock anthem? Heroes would work.

My Nads Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 I'd definitely be up for a bit of land of hope and glory! I've wanted this for years! Please happen. Land of hope and glory should be England's anthem hands down. Anything that separates England from Britain has got to be a good thing. Everything regarding just England should only be decided by English people/MP and not, all of those Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh bitching complaining MPenises. On a side note why do footballers seem to thing the National Anthem is only something to sing at the start of an England game, the thick twats!
My Nads Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Not sure about Rooney but after reading Neville's autobiography it's because he chooses those moments to focus that bit more apparently Rooney probably doesn't sing it because he's Irish. The clue's in the name.
Ross-Kemp Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 I'd like to stick with GSTQ until HRH steps down or passes on. Then I'd like to see Jeresulam.
Finnegan Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 New York New York by Sinatra could be a shout. Narh mate Sarajevo by the Cranberries.
fuchsntf Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 We should have something, alot more happy...get rid of this patronising, all powerfull nations, twaddle. So:- If your happy and you know it clap your hands.. If not.....Jerusalem rapped with LOHG. Since a boy, I have always said, we should have a national Anthem over our country, not only over the pretend and curtailed non exsistent ruler and monarch. My nation might need saving, not the Queen/King.
bovril Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 USSR's was the best Stirring stuff, for sure. They have the same one now, no? Just with different lyrics.
Stadt Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Stirring stuff, for sure. They have the same one now, no? Just with different lyrics. I wasn't sure tbh but you're right. It was played on cod4 multiplayer if the spetsnaz won.
