Captain... Posted 23 March 2016 Posted 23 March 2016 If our bowlers and batters both turn up on the same day we could win this...
Guest MattP Posted 23 March 2016 Posted 23 March 2016 Easy enough in the end, the Afghan bowling is still clearly the strong suit, we needed those last two overs though.
Corky Posted 23 March 2016 Posted 23 March 2016 Need to beat Sri Lanka and hope the West Indies win their matches now.
Corky Posted 23 March 2016 Posted 23 March 2016 That was criminally bad, 2 to win from 3 balls and they lose three wickets for no run. It wasn't even good bowling, the coach should be livid.
Lionator Posted 23 March 2016 Posted 23 March 2016 That simply increases my nerves about City. How a pro sports team can bottle a game from that position is beyond me.
Corky Posted 23 March 2016 Posted 23 March 2016 That wasn't nerves, it was trying to have a memorable shot to win it for the cameras rather than knock it on the floor for a single or two and finish the game. Having seen one go with a hack to the leg side, Mahmudullah should've played the game differently.
Harry96 Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Windies need 123 to win vs sa. They should chase that with relative ease. Good news for England if they do meaning if we beat sl tomorrow we'll be through
Harry96 Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 15 needed from 10 should do it with Samuels at the crease
Swarles Barkley Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 England doing a great impression of england here
TheSomersetFox Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Hilariously bad captaincy giving Moeen that over. Edit: just realised he basically had no other option. duh
Osavo Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Cracking game that. Brilliant death bowling from Stokes and Jordan.
Corky Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Excellent effort to reach the semi-finals, especially considering halfway through the second game we looked dead and buried.
IOWFOX Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Bloody hell, good job stokes hit his only ball for 6 and what an over to get us over the line.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 I've always hated cricket. Always. However, I'm in Delhi atm and have just sat in a bar riveted to the England v Sri Lanka game. I can't believe I've turned! Previously, the most I've ever watched in my 42 years easily adds up to less than 30 seconds of my life! That was quality! Very enjoyable. Can't say I'm a fully committed cricket fan, but that was enjoyable
rmahrez Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 Only England would be able to almost lose a game when the win predictor had them at 100% at 15/4. We never make it easy but another solid win and through to the semis. Actually think we could have a good chance against New Zealand, although their spinners have been going really well so far.
leicsmac Posted 27 March 2016 Posted 27 March 2016 Afghanistan finally get the win their play deserved. Massive kudos. Hopefully the ICC will reconsider their idiot stance on henceforth locking associate nations out of World Cups for the sake of TV ratings in India.
