Jattdogg Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Time for all these canadian geese to migrate to europe
Merging Cultures Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Have you seen the new Charlie Hebdo cartoon about that little boy Aylan who drowned. It is asking if he would have grown up to be a groper. quite disgusting.

bovril Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Have you seen the new Charlie Hebdo cartoon about that little boy Aylan who drowned. It is asking if he would have grown up to be a groper. quite disgusting. It could be read as satirising the media response to both the drowning and sexual assaults.
Merging Cultures Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 It could be read as satirising the media response to both the drowning and sexual assaults.Yeah, I suppose. Outpouring of concern for a little boy, v hatred for groping migrants.

bovril Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 I don't really see the problem. It's a satirical cartoon, different people will interpret it differently. For me they're commenting on how polarising the situation is and how absurd some of the reactions have been, from the very tribal "they're all lascivious groping parasites" type stuff to the - to coin a Daily Express phrase - bleeding heart lefties on the other side.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 I can't stand Trump, but I am 100% behind his comments.I understand the vast majority of immigrants would suffer because of a minority, but how do we stop the terrorists, and trouble makers coming into the country? We cannot know just who is being allowed in, until it is too late. A very delicate situation, and one which concerns all of us.

I would suggest much clearer guidelines as to what paperwork you need with you to make you traceable...
Rincewind Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 I would suggest much clearer guidelines as to what paperwork you need with you to make you traceable... Yes paperwork would help but I wonder how many of those trying to escape will think before they run that they must pop to the local government offices to have their paperwork stamped and be given permission to leave.Assuming the buildings are still standing after they have been bombed of course. Apologies in advance for thinking outside the box. And maybe we should extend DT's suggestion and imprison all residents of Braunstone every time there is a break in on the estate because we all know there are some tea leaves that reside there; Of course I am not being serious with that idea as I am sure DT was not either. It certainly would solve the problem for the UK though and take the concern about terrorists sneaking into the country away for a while. So looking at it that way it is a great solution for the UK. It takes a special kind of person to come up with that idea.
Countryfox Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 Every time I see a picture of immigrants arriving here they are all young males in the 20 to 35 age range ....

We have to remember that the Syrian crisis started back in march 2011 and the refugee 'crisis' has only really been an issue in the last 12-18 months. But i really was just sharing a thought more than a concrete idea of how everything should be done....
Rincewind Posted 20 January 2016 Posted 20 January 2016 TBH I don't think anyone knows. If the diplomats politicians and best brains in the world cannot find a solution how are the average Joe going to? Thoughts are all we have and they will vary hell of a lot before it is all over.
