Thomas Cook offers King Power 'hospitality breaks' for Leicester City home matches.

Travel company Thomas Cook is offering football fans £179 "hospitality breaks" so they can experience King Power Stadium matches in style.

Leicester City were recently guaranteed a place in the Premier League next season and as a result of the club's success it has joined eight other top-flight teams on the Thomas Cook package trip list.

For the fee, away fans not only get a West Stand ticket and a night in the Ramada Encore in Charles Street, Leicester, but also get to enjoy half-time refreshments in the Fosse Club and a carvery dinner in the Walkers Hall.

The Thomas Cook website states: "Leicester City are thriving in the Premier League after a 10 year absence.

"Under manager Claudio Ranieri the Foxes are flying and topped the table at the turn of the year ahead of traditional powerhouses Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.

"Striker Jamie Vardy grabbed the headlines by breaking Ruud van Nisterooy's Premier League record by scoring in eleven consecutive matches.

"The team has flourished under Ranieri's stewardship and they have made the King Power Stadium a fortress for visiting teams.

"Follow the Leicester faithful to the King Power and soak up the atmosphere as The Foxes battle for Premier League glory!"

Cliff Ginetta, chairman of the LCFC supporters club, said it proved Leicester City had established itself as one of the top teams.

He said: "It's a bit out of the reach of the ordinary fans at £179 but I know there are other clubs that do this sort of thing.

"The fact that Leicester now does it shows we're there - in the big league.

"People are taking Leicester seriously.

"Since we found out we were definitely staying in the Premier League things have changed for the football club and for the sponsors."

He said that despite the pricey packages for well-off away fans he did not have any worries about ticket prices soaring for fans because of Leicester City's recent successes.

He said: "There will be a slight rise next season but I think they'll be good about it.

"Money isn't going to be a problem for them next season - particularly if they get into the Champions' League.

"I know American-owned clubs like Liverpool and Man United have big ticket prices but owners from elsewhere in the world seem keener to keep football available to everyone."

Why should there be an increase next year? All the extra tv revenue prices should go down if anything.

This is why I hoped they'd get started on the ground expansion, some of us are more likely to get priced out of it otherwise. :(

I'm going to sound like a broken record, but they want to expand the ground so they can price more people out.

Think it's a bit shit putting the prices up next season. We might be a top team in the table on paper, but I really don't want us to become like them. I could think of nothing worse than supporting a team like Man City where money comes first in everything and fans come second. I like little old Leicester City where we get treated like humans and not pound signs.

I think man city is a poor example. They are decent on prices and plough a lot into the community

Cliff Ginetta ffs! Is it me, or is he a complete bellend?

yeah man city season tickets were £299

If I have to pay over £500 I don't think I'd go anymore. I could never pay £1000 like at Arsenal which is there cheapest one!

Demand and supply. It's not like a season ticket is expensive at Leicester.

I'd rather we was a top 4 team than a Championship team. So would be happy to pay a little bit more.

You know someone's a bit of a psychopath when they blindly worship at the shrine of supply and demand.

Valid.

That Ginetta quote, what a wrong'un. Who's he meant to represent again? Swear some of our fans would happily have to remortgage their house to follow us as long as the club was profiteering to look "big time".

I'd say it's almost dead certainty that prices will be hiked up by 5 or 10% next season. I think they would have gone up last season but when the letters went out we were as good as doomed so an increase wasn't on the cards. But this season is different. I'll be amazed if they freeze prices

You could argue without the support of the fans, they say it helps the players we wouldn't  be where we are and the club wouldn't  be making as much money so we should benefit from that as well as the players.

There's  no real financial need for them to increase prices in fact you could easily argue for a decrease.

The only arguments put forward are supply and demand but in our situation that's  just taking advantage of the loyalty of the fans.

But that's what football clubs do isn't it? If they do put prices up by £50 or whatever then some people will be priced out, but on current demand there would be plenty of people to take their place.

Don't get me wrong, it would be a brilliant gesture is the club froze prices but I can't see it. The "product" has a value and that value will be enhanced next season due to the performance this season.

Having a ST is the only way of guaranteeing to see all the games and being first in the queue for Champions League tickets (can barely believe I'm typing that).

Oh come on, we could potentially win the league with sell out crowds every week and you think prices should maybe decrease?!

If we want to maybe establish ourselves as a top four or six club, then it doesn't come without extra costs.

But the revenue from ticket sales is peanuts.

You could say that about everything. Maybe decrease the cost of food, merchandise in the shop etc etc?

It's not living in the real world if you think that should happen.
