weller54 Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 0-0 and four ACL's, Sanchez, Ozil, Ali and Kane. Obviously joking about the injuries!! But a knock here or there on key players wouldn't come amiss. Let's hope it's a North London Bloodbath!
katieakita Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 I really don't understand betting but would love to see the odds on at least 1 red card in the game, a must win for Arsenal they think who have gone from premier league and Euro champs to wanting the manager out since they played us.The important game is at vicarage road
biggs Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Too early a start this one for me. I'll have a look at the score when I wake up......my weekend will start in a good way or I'll be right pissed and a bundle of nerves until we beat Watford....all will be good again Hope they hurt each other and a few reds would be okay too.
fuchsntf Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Has to be an Arsenal win for me!It's all about our rivals 'maximum achievable' points totals...At the moment, with 30 points to play for:Spurs can reach 84, Arsenal 81, City 80, United 77, also, dare I say,Hammers 76!An Arsenal win won't increase their maximum, but would reduce Spurs' to 81...In context, that would mean that, should either, (or both), Arsenal/Tottenham equal our 2015 end of season, (22 points from 9 games), it would leave us needing to total a not unthinkable 77 points to take the title...Unless one of the chasing pack can win probably 8 of their final 9 games. The one concern I have re Spurs is their goal difference...Still superior to ours..hence we need them to drop an extra point somewhere along the line! Arsenal, for same reason. It would hurt Spurs, they could lose confidence and put pressure and start questioning themselves. Spurs are the team who could finish on an unbeaten run.Stop it now. Arsenal will do their customary lap of honour, then carry on dropping points. That said, I am only interested what we do.If city have a decent run the pressure stays on those 2.

Great post mate, very interesting. you must either be a mathematician or have way too much time on your hands
Sionnach gorm Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Arsenal is bottling it. Definitely a win for Arsenal would be in our best interest. We're far enough away from Arsenal that a win for them would be best. There must be some spur fans on here. A mole of sorts. I can't imagine how a spud win would be good for us.

Good post buddyI agree in principle although a draw still edges it for me
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Personally it'd be great for Spurs to lose two in a week to their nearest rivals and to lose at home to Arsenal I think would be a big dent in their title bid. Arsenal will self capitulate in any case.

Bamba's Babes Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Arsenal win as they will implode later on. Tottenham win is very dangerous.

No way would Arsenal winning only to end up 6 points behind us the next day leave them equally likely to win the league.
Shinji-San Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Arsenal win, want as big a lead as possible. Edit: Astonished people would prefer a draw. I agree its surprising more dont want the Arse to win, but there's another way of looking at it, would you like to hand out 3 points to our closest rivals or 2? Nevertheless I voted Arse to win, just based on keeping the gap to 2nd as big as poss.
Shinji-San Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Draw. thats the best result for us Think about it though, another loss off the back of west ham would be a massive hammer blow to spurs title hopes and confidence especially after going on a massive winning streak lately. Unless you see Arsenal as the bigger threat anyway.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Hard to see anything but a Spurs win but I'd much prefer a draw. Our only concern should be to focus on winning. This game and all the others. Keep breaking the hearts of the chasing pack until the gap looks after itself. "No retreat, baby, no surrender!" You say that Thrac but the craziness of the BPL this year points to 4 sendings off after a 20 man brawl and 0-0
Guest Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Arsenal win, want as big a lead as possible. Edit: Astonished people would prefer a draw. I voted for draw, only just though. Prefer the overall psychological impact of a draw. Draw: a sloppy 0-0 would be frustrating for both teams and their fans Win: would give one team added momentum and confidence Lose: could give the losing team a "wounded animal' mentality and greater determination going into the next game. Need both to drop points and lose confidence.

Wish we were kicking off at the same time in all of the remaining matches. Hate all these early, late, Sunday, Monday matches. I'm sure Tottingham saw our WBA result and relaxed a bit because they expected the top to be theirs. Now it will be our turn to play under that pressure, which will be either catch up if spuds win, or pull further away with an Arsenal win or draw, so I hope we don't fall into the same trap and take things for granted should other results go our way. All players are human and will be looking at these results and however well they are motivated, other results will have a bearing on how they play for the rest of the season. Obviously this applies to all the teams, not just us, as we have already seen. We need to fully concentrate on our matches and forget everyone else, because no-one can catch us if we win all 10, but I'm still hoping for an Arsenal win tomorrow, but I just can't see past a spuds victory. Arsenal look a shambles.
Countryfox Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Am totally cool about this one. Draw great one point to a rival lost forever. Spuds win Arse out of it and potential two horse race. Arse win and potentially gap widens over pack. Hope you know what I mean but several pints and half a bottle of merlot doesn't help ...

Sort of Country, you're on here late, I take it the missus is out tonight and your delving into the wine cellar Perhaps we should swap usernames. Keep some spare for me!
murphy Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 You missed the 'terrorist outrage' option from the poll vote.
biggs Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 An Arsenal win and us taking 3pts at Watford......6pts clear with 9 games to go would be fantastic heading into next week's game....as ludicrous as that may seem, it's what just might be. Keep believing.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 If we win any result is fine obv us winning and Arse win or a draw are the tops!

treer Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 we need a draw, if spurs win they will be replace city as favourites for the title if arsenal win city will still be favourites for the title, but city would have to avoid defeat to stay favourite of course should city win later, then we will again be favourites
Clever Fox Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 We need to take care of our own business first, no more slip ups even though we played ok on Tuesday night. A draw between Arsenal and Spurs would keep both 2 points further back with games running out. What I enjoyed about Tuesday night was the lack of fear and pressure among our players. It's definitely the way to play if you want to win anything. Onwards and upwards we go.
