nigelbee Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Arsenal win. Tottenham's goal difference is a threat to us so a points gap is more important.
Steven Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Someone's been reading the bizarre 'would 2nd place be better' threads from the Championship title season. .... or the equally bizarre "I prefer it in the Championship to the Premier League" threads from last season.
m4DD0gg Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Draw obviously but would like to see Arsenal beat spurs and really derail them as Arsenal will choke again at some point. Plus i hate spurs (and Arsenal).
foxes161 Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Draw I guess but a Arsenal win is better than a Spurs win
Oxfordfox83 Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Arsenal win, easily the best option. Arsenal are massive bottlers who can't get it up for the smaller teams. Title is a two horse race now (with, as Firefox says, Man U as the third if we both implode...)
Vlad the Fox Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Changed my vote from draw to arse win. Despite the obvious reason regarding points I think it could be to our advantage if they both start focusing and worrying about each other, you could here the stress in the arse stands last night, this could transfer to the players on the pitch. It needs to be a tiring, dull, drab and uninspiring victory by an odd goal in a game littered with mistakes and nervousness. A raft of yellow cards and a few reds would be welcome too. A win that offers little in the way of boosting confidence.
elvisfmcfly Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 So spurs are 3 points behind,if arsenal win they too will be 3 points behind yet most of gone for the draw which would move spurs to within 2 points? Crazy talk.our only rivals are spurs.
DennisNedry Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Either a draw or a big big win for Arsenal to bring Spurs GD down towards ours.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Draw please. No good to either of them. I have a feeling arsenal will win though which would also be a decent result. Surely they aren't going to lose 4 in a row?! It's great that we play later as well. Pretty much whatever happens can be twisted into fantastic motivation for our boys
Captain... Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 At the same time, if we win then actually an Arsenal win means we go 6 clear... also an Arsenal win means even if we draw against Watford we are 4 clear, or lose and we still maintain a 3 point gap Earlier in the season and this would be my answer but at this stage I feel it's more important to maximise the distance to 2nd place and in this case that means Arsenal winning. If Spurs had won last night, then I would be rooting for an Arsenal win, but them both dropping points, Arsenal being on a bad run and Spurs losing for the first time in a while they will both be targeting this game for a win, and a victory will give either side a boost in their bid for the title, a draw will not. If Arsenal win, then all the fans will be off their back and give them momentum going into a run of straightforward fixtures. Obviously a Spurs win would be the worst outcome, but a draw and suddenly Spurs have dropped 5 points and there is (hopefully) a 5 point gap and talk of choking and throwing away the title ramps up, in the same way it would for an Arsenal victory would.
ceredigion Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 I want to see a violent 0-0 draw, with a mass brawl in the centre circle and a couple of sendings off apiece.

I follow your thinking, but Spurs did lose recently (to Palace in the cup). I'd like two league defeats in a row to really hit the pressure home. If they win, the Swansea game can be written off as a blip, and if either side battles to a draw, Spurs can call it a decent/unlucky result against their 'biggest rivals'. Arsenal have no form, and if Spurs lose two in a row then they will worry about theirs. From the papers writing them into a goal difference lead over us to a (potential) six point gap in the space of two games would set their nerves jangling, and put us right back in control...
Moksky Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 An Arsenal win or draw, with Kane getting injured and Alli getting sent off Theres going to be some high tension and I think we will see a red, hopefully in the Spurs direction
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Arsenal win... followed by Arsenal win against Barca... then a collapse against whoever said next up
Tuna Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Being Honest, as long as we beat Watford I'll go for an Arsenal win. Spurs have been an unstoppable force recently; losing 2 in a row and both to local and competetive rivals could be a hammer blow.
Hammered Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Who the **** has voted Spuds? What the ****? This. Voted draw myself, but could do with an Arse win. Spurs losing twice in a week could be absolute delight.
Hack Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 The draw is the perfect outcome for us. A win for us over Watford and then a draw for Spurs and Gunners puts us 5 points clear of the Spurs and 8 points clear of Arsenal with 9 games to go. With both of them having tough games to come as well as Europe and Cup games we firm significantly to win it all.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 Arse win in brutal match where both sides are trying to mame each other with 6 sendings off for violent conduct.
atomicfox Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 A draw, with several sendings off and injury niggles.
justfoxes Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 A draw, with several sendings off and injury niggles. I'll second that !!
