treer Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 We need to take care of our own business first, no more slip ups even though we played ok on Tuesday night. we can't they kick off 12.45, city don't start until 17.30
UPinCarolina Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 At first I wanted a draw, but I'd much rather see an Arsenal win. Tottenham is still the more dangerous side.
possiblygeorge Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 The Club and backroom staff have to find a way to not allow any news from that game, between the time the Tottenham vs Arsenal game starts and the time ours finishes, to filter through to the players. The last thing we need is for the players to find out the results from the game and become either: a) Complacent, making it feel like anything less than the three points is okay, for now or b) Nervous, making the players worried that if they do drop points we could lose top spot. I'm sure we'll handle the situation professionally. Touch wood.
Guest foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 A Spurs victory wouldn't be disastrous, they have the harder run in than Arsenal (just putting a positive spin on it)
Foxxed Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 Seriously, you have to scroll down the forum to find the thread about our next match!
Foxhateram Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 Draw for me. Winning that derby could be the spark and spur on that one of the two need to go on a run. I don't want to see either of them playing confidently as they are a huge threat. A draw would leave both teams deflated especially if we win later and pull another 2 points ahead.
Finnegan Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 Draw with six injuries and four red cards per team. Kane wheelchair bound for at least the next eighteen months, Ozil to get his hair messed up by Ali and be subsequently out for three months with "stress", Ali to receive a ten month ban for being mean. Hugo Lloris to get fed up at six all and go two footed through Erik Lamela for never tracking back and both to miss the end of the season. Elsewhere, both of Arsenal's centre halves run in to each other and suffer concussions that sideline them for a month minimum. That'd probably do it.
ramadaone Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 A Spurs victory wouldn't be disastrous, they have the harder run in than Arsenal (just putting a positive spin on it) Agree Spurs win and it's a 2 horse race where we should gain more points than them if we carry on playing like we did against the Baggies Easy
fazzyfox Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 As well as points gained momentum and confidence could play a part. If they finish 0-0 they'll both be feeling flat and frustrated, although it would normally be a decent away point for Arsenal they'll feel (but not say) it's not enough. If Arsenal win they could be buoyant going into their next games but to be fair all that nonsense after our match with them didn't do them any good, it was hardly a bright new dawn for them going on to get tonked at Utd and lose to Swansea. A Tottenham win would kill Arsenal's confidence but we certainly don't want three points for Tottenham. A jammy undeserved Arsenal win or if confidence doesn't seem to stick a big Arsenal win as they are one of the only opponents capable of putting a few past Spurs and denting their GD? We want as few points as possible coming to the title chasers so two points is better than three but dents in confidence or key suspensions could be just as welcome. I still say 0-0, keep them both flat and frustrated, if Arsenal do spark into form they might not mess it up next time.
Nick Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 As long as we win, I wouldn't mind a Spurs win. That'd put us 9 points clear of Arsenal with 9 games to go. Before tonight I'd have said a draw. Now I think I'd prefer an Arsenal win. To summarise, I don't think it matters. We just need to keep winning. This is how I feel!
Bettsj2 Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 Ideally a convincing Arsenal win. Put a dent into Spurs goal difference and maintain the gap between 1st and 2nd (hopefully extend it by the end of today).
Super_horns Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 I think Spurs will win 2-1 but then you wouldn't be totally surprised to see Arsenal turn up and put in their best performance of the season to claim the 3 points and everything will be rosy in the Gunners camp again.
sdb Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 22 players with 3 match bans please I don't care really. Not being a bell-end about it but we just have to get a result in our game otherwise it's a poor day
Benguin Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 0-0, Kane. Ali, Erickson, rose, walker, lloris, vertongen, son, lamella, Sanchez, giroud, Campbell, Walcott, we'll beck, Ramsey, Ozil, bellerin and monreal all to have their legs broken. Both teams to field an ineligible player and get 12 point reductions.
americanfox Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 0-0, Kane. Guest LCFC_World Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 GET INNN 0-1 Would rather have a draw but if someone is gonna win would rather it be Arsenal.
davieG Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 Can we stick the match comments in the PL thread so folks don't have to look at two topics Thanks http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/100927-premier-league-201516-stuff-it-in-here/page-483#entry3780599
FireFox Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 Lock the thread? No point in it staying open anymore that the game has started.
