Gerard Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Martin Tyler said in commentary that Leicester fans would take 3rd place if it was offered now. I wouldn't. Did he really? What an utter arsewipe. Just like the morons who said Leicester would switch off when we got to 40pts. It's like entering the London marathon and amazingly finding yourself 100 yards ahead of the pack with a mile to go, do you coast home and finish 20th or grit your teeth and kick on for that last mile? Anyone who thinks we'll be happy with anything but Champions from this position has a loser mentality. As Ranieri said anyone who buckles under the pressure won't be here next season. If we have one player in our squad who would take second now if offered I'd be amazed and want them out ASAP. Fortunately I'm sure our players are nothing but winners.
Webbo Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Really? What a cretin. (Tyler I mean) Tbf it was at the start of the match when we were only 2 points clear at the time. The implication was we'd be happy with champions league. Now it's possible that we'll finish below third but I wouldn't pass up the chance of actually winning the league, from a winning position just for a place in a cup.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Repeat what we did last season in the last 9 and we will be champions by a comfortable margin
Renart Posted 6 March 2016 Author Posted 6 March 2016 I finally put Championey! I was uncertain as anything after the West Brom game in midweek (in spite of the great performance) but after the way the following Wednesday panned out then you can't help but think this will be our season now! Still 9 games to go though, not forgetting the final trio of highly testing games..... This is also the first time that I have voted 'Champions'.
americanfox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Claudio is spot on 79 points will be enough. Spurs would have to win - 8/9 games is that going to happen not realistically. We need 6 wins and a draw and the title is ours! He knew all along. What a fuc*ing legend.
Viva Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I'm over the moon that we've stayed up. Whatever comes next is a bonus. So you would be over the moon if we lose our next 9 matches? A bit mad I think. At the start of the season I would have been over the moon with 6th, but things have now changed.
Renart Posted 7 March 2016 Author Posted 7 March 2016 Martin Tyler said in commentary that Leicester fans would take 3rd place if it was offered now. I wouldn't. Very idiot!
Donut Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Champions. There is no Leicester bias involved when i say we have the most consistent performing team, the most in form and to be honest best players in the league when talking about Vardy and Mahrez, the Kante and Drinkwater pairing, a manager who has the midas touch, and other teams who cant put a run together.
Babylon Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 No idea... look how quick things changed within 9 games last season. Anything can still happen and that will serve as a reminder to all the players.
Socks Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 if we only drop 7 points from our remainder of games we will be Champions that is of course assuming that teams below us will still win
crisp packet Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Actually starting to believe!! C.O.Y.B we CAN do this...!
Babylon Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 if we only drop 7 points from our remainder of games we will be Champions that is of course assuming that teams below us will still win I'm confused... how dos that work? We're only 5 points ahead. If we drop 5 points and Spurs win all their games we'd probably miss out on goal difference?
Bluetintedspecs Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 Yes we can do this, one game at a time though
ScouseFox Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 No idea... look how quick things changed within 9 games last season. Anything can still happen and that will serve as a reminder to all the players. are you (or any of our players) really expecting a reverse of last season? to be good all year and then lose 7 of our last 9? come on. we all know "things can change quickly" but let's not take the piss.
Tim'llFixIt Posted 7 March 2016 Posted 7 March 2016 I can't get my head around there being a strong possibility of the season finishing City Spurs Hammers United
Renart Posted 8 March 2016 Author Posted 8 March 2016 I can't get my head around there being a strong possibility of the season finishing City Spurs Hammers United This would be great!
