Jace Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 Apparently the World could end tomorrow http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/technology-science/science/world-going-end-tomorrow-asteroid-7510201 NASA has dramatically changed its mind about the risks posed by asteroid 2013 TX68, a 100ft-wide rock which is currently heading towards Earth. It said there was "a chance" it could plough into our planet next year when it makes another flyby. However, we are glad to report that NASA thinks the odds of a collision on September 28, 2017, are "no more than 1-in-250-million". It it did hit the planet, the asteroid would probably explode in the atmosphere, unleashing as much energy as a powerful nuclear bomb and wiping out anything unlucky enough to be beneath it. "The possibilities of collision on any of the three future flyby dates are far too small to be of any real concern," said Paul Chodas, manager of NASA's Center for near earth orbit studies . "I fully expect any future observations to reduce the probability even more."
kingcarr21 Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 People really will go to great lengths to stop us winning the premier league
weller54 Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 No fear.. It wouldn't penetrate our back 4!... Huth would put it straight in touch.
johnny the fox Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 take no notice..john cross predicted this months ago...
foxfanazer Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 was gonna say this!I knew someone would have if I didn't It's ok I've just seen that it was Mark Lawrenson thats predicted this, we're safe!
Mythyaar Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 However, we are glad to report that NASA thinks the odds of a collision on September 28, 2017, are "no more than 1-in-250-million". They were our real odds of winning the title this year!!

st albans fox Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 If the world ends next year do we get to keep the PL trophy?
foxfanazer Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 More chance of Arsene Wenger coming to Belvoir Drive with an AK-47 and spraying bullets at our team and Claudio
Vlad the Fox Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 Arsenal fans complaining that we've doped it and it has meandered off course and now won't destroy the earth.
erlee Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 ..is that the reason why the punters have been cashing in on their ladbrokes & SkyBets
SpacedX Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 Apparently the World could end tomorrow http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/technology-science/science/world-going-end-tomorrow-asteroid-7510201 NASA has dramatically changed its mind about the risks posed by asteroid 2013 TX68, a 100ft-wide rock which is currently heading towards Earth. Small wonder that the Mirror employs the likes of John Cross. http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.php?feature=4888
ian_marshall Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 How long before the red tops start speculating that the gravitational pull of the asteroid is what keeps drawing the ball into our opponents net, whilst simultaneously helping us to keep clean sheets? I can also see Wenger lobbying for any achievements and prize money awarded to Leicester to be stripped by the FA in-order to send a giant rocket into outer space to destroy said asteroid and restore natural order to the top of the Premier League.
Sionnach gorm Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 More chance of Arsene Wenger coming to Belvoir Drive with an AK-47 and spraying bullets at our team and Claudio I think this is more likely also...
Oxshottfox Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 Yeah right, about as much chance of that happening as Leicester winning the premier league.... Oh wait... Better get my hat then
StanSP Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 'world could end tomorrow' *article quoted states nothing about ploughing in to our planet tomorrow*
Vacamion Posted 8 March 2016 Posted 8 March 2016 If the odds are 1 in 250 million, are any of you going to cash out 3 months beforehand?
4fuxsake Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 "But they have identified an extremely remote chance that this small asteroid could impact on Sep. 28, 2017" Isn't that the day Barcelona are coming to town for their return leg (they are down 0-2 on aggregate )
Grewks Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 There's more chance of me doing some 'ploughing' on this mortal coil than this rock. we're sound.
