possiblygeorge Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Win the League, we create history, our players become historical and everyone will remember that time Leicester won the League (if we do). It's a no brainer to have a statue erected (ha) outside the KP Stadium, to represent the brilliant season we've had. Win the League and just who exactly deserves to have themselves turned into a statue outside stadium?

Guest ttfn Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 If we win the league I'd like 2 statues. One of Ranieri, obviously. The other would be of an exasperated Andy King explaining to Jeff Schlupp that we had won the league, using a novelty sized league table and calculator. Jeff is eating a bag of cheesy wotsits.
Mark_w Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Not sure anybody individually deserves the first (or more to the point everyone involved does), but I'd be happy enough with Wes lifting the trophy - captain in the Championship, captain in the Premier League and representative both of one exceptional season and the three years of transformation that came before it.
possiblygeorge Posted 16 March 2016 Author Posted 16 March 2016 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/104910-gordon-banks-statue/?hl=statue I genuinely had no idea this was a thing One day i'll be the first! If we win the league I'd like 2 statues. One of Ranieri, obviously. The other would be of an exasperated Andy King explaining to Jeff Schlupp that we had won the league, using a novelty sized league table and calculator. Jeff is eating a bag of cheesy wotsits. Ranieri with Wes it would have to be
possiblygeorge Posted 16 March 2016 Author Posted 16 March 2016 Wes,Vardy,Mahrez and Kante Maybe even the title winning goal celebration
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 There's plenty of squad members who are worthy of a statue. What would be good IMO, is if we are planning to construct a statue for a player in recent times (now) it would also be good to have another statue of one of our former legends from our history. I know it's been mentioned on here before regarding a legends statue but it would be a way of respecting the type of quality player/players we had then, and the type of quality player/players we have now. I wouldn't limit the statues to having one either, we could have 4 statues on each side of the stadium, two statues from now and two statues from our history? Only an suggestion but I know it would be very difficult to implement because of trying to negotiate and agree as fans on certain legends who are worthy of statues.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Ranieri, Wes, Vardy and King are a few I could think of. Plenty more of course. It'd be nice for King to have a statue for staying with us since League One. For him to be involved with 3 league titles would be amazing.
Vestan Pance Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 We've won nothing, Harry Kane has lost nothing so why start planning celebrations/gloating.
MPH Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 You know the image, The Captin lifts the trophy and all the players around him punch the air.. Just a copy of that turned into the Statue
MPH Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Edit: Kind of like this but obviously the premier league version
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Edit: Kind of like this but obviously the premier league version Agree with this. Would look immense!
possiblygeorge Posted 16 March 2016 Author Posted 16 March 2016 Agree with this. Would look immense! Would take a lot of work to pull it off though, not sure they'll go with that if we ever reach this scenario. I would love it though!
sylofox Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Huge prem trophy with every players name apps and goals engraved on it. Would be so unfair on every other player if you singled one out. Our whole ethic is about squad play and attitude so to remember this season people want to single out one or 2 players.
Len Finsbury Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 No statues until they've retired. We don't want a Vardy statue only for him to finish his career at ****ing Derby or Notts Forest!
Sampson Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Ranieri with the iconic slightly-too-small-for-his-head baseball cap eating pizza.
