Guest Dirkster the Fox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Last 5 games we've not lost. Only conceded in 1 games during the last 5. Is it time to really acknowledge,to quote Martin Keown this evening.... "The Bouncers" Credit due?
AKCJ Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 I questioned Wes being captain at the start of the season but he has, well and truly, proved me wrong. He was immense today. Didn't give anyone a sniff down the middle.
Sampson Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 As much as loved Walsh, Elliott and Taggart they never quite reached the levels Morgan and Huth have this season. As good a central defenders as we've ever had.
theessexfox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 We're fooked if either get crocked or suspended. Was did a job last season and he can do one again.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Huth and Morgan have been super impressive this season. Morgan would be in my team of the year for certain. Although Huth and plenty of our others could easily feature too.
Izzy Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 As much as loved Walsh, Elliott and Taggart they never quite reached the levels Morgan and Huth have this season. As good a central defenders as we've ever had. Big statement! I need to give that some thought....
Corky Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 We're fooked if either get crocked or suspended. Hang on, I thought we only had two good players?
Guest BlueBrett Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Was did a job last season and he can do one again. Like he did against Arsenal
Max Power Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Morgan especially was superb today. Don't want to speak for him, but he may regret taking that Jamaica call up a few years ago, England could have been knocking.
Domsdad Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Don't like the bloke but Piers Morgan has done his team of the season and has Wes in it as Captain. He also has Huth on the bench, heady days!
Guest Dirkster the Fox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Wes Morgan, best CB in the league. This is the irony. A much castigated £1m Forest lad many have previously shed concern over, could actually be now one of the best defenders currently in English football. Solid, old fashioned and now with the necessary subtle roughness. Huth is also a man re-born alongside him. Equally a suitable rock. Both right now, today...imo...are as much the reason for being top as anyone else on the team.
theessexfox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Like he did against Arsenal Yeah he's no longer a competent centre-half because he made one rash challenge against Arsenal (which would've been forgotten had it not gone in)
Guest seanfox778 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Morgan has been immense this season, his reading the game has improved by so much, he has been an absolute boss at the heart of defence and I think him and Huth suit playing alongside each other so much.
Izzy Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Morgan especially was superb today. Don't want to speak for him, but he may regret taking that Jamaica call up a few years ago, England could have been knocking. Easy tiger! I'm not so sure... I love big Wes and he's brilliant at what he does: blocking, tackling, throwing his body on the line etc. But for me, he's not quite England class. And the reason I say that is with ball at feet, he often looks a little uncomfortable and uneasy to me. His distribution and passing skills are limited at best and for this reason, I don't think he's quite England standard. Just my opinion and prepared to be shot down!
kingfox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Anybody who gives 100% gets praise from me, both Wes & Huth give 100% every game and play for the badge. Alderweireld may have a claim for best defender this season; however Wes for me is his closest challenger. Wes has played with consistency, he's put his body on the line game after game and he's been the best captain in the Prem. Best defender we've had since Walsh & Elliott.
sdb Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Was did a job last season and he can do one again. In a 3. I love Was but he's not going to be able to replicate either of these 2. They're just immense at the minute.
Raj Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Who would have thought these two would be one of the best CB's in Europe on current form It's mental!!!
Guest Dirkster the Fox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Best partnership at the back in the league? Worth a shout....yes?
Raj Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Surely statistically the amount of games they have played together and the win ratio its Unquestionably the best CB?? Who else rates alongside??
Chester Dontlie Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Last 5 games we've not lost. Ding-a-ling! Waiter? 5 big pizzas for the boys, pronto! Only conceded in 1 games during the last 5. Ah, scusi. Only four!
Max Power Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Easy tiger! I'm not so sure... Yep he doesn't bring the ball out like Franz 'John Stones' Beckenbauer good point
Fox92 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Huth has improved Morgan's game so much. They are both rock solid and Morgan also looks so comfortable on the ball these days.

They are both as good as anyone this season, all parts of the team are why we are top, not some
