AyewJoking Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Me personally, I don't care. If we win the league and get relegated next year it'll still be worth it. winners one season, relegated the next. we dont want that tag. i suppose we could just aim for champions league or at least europa.
ARM1968 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 The champions League won't know what's hit it when we arrive.
foxinsox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Simpsons block was right in front of me, there was no intent to handle. A handball decision was probably not possible because neither ref or assistant would have had a clear view. The correct decision IMHO. Rather than intent (always subjective) if there were any modification to the handball rule, it should be concerning advantage. A handball that gives an advantage to the players team should be given, one where no advantage results should not. Advantage is more consistent to judge.
LJS Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Even more impressive when you consider that, with international commitments, he's not had a decent break from football for close to two years now! He'll be playing in the Copa America Centenario this summer too. Poor bloke will be dead.
WJH Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Well we must keep hold of all our players, and if we do then why can't we start to really tear up the champions league too... no one thought it was possible to be in this situation now, so there is no reason we can't continue to add to this outstanding side and continue to be contenders This team is world class no doubt about it , it is a side that has it all This is the key. Lose Mahrez, Vardy, Kante and you've been stripped down to the bare minimum replacing them while challenging in the CL and Top 4 would be the biggest ask of your scouting team yet. You simply have to keep these guys and not see the $$$ and be branded a selling club. Trust me as an Arsenal fan I've been there it's not nice...
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 winners one season, relegated the next. we dont want that tag. i suppose we could just aim for champions league or at least europa. It wouldn't happen, Ranieri is such a good manager that even if we lost Kante and Mahrez we would be fine in terms of still be a challenger... not only that the owners will be willing to put in the cash to ensure our stability. Our defence will be the same next season guaranteed, and since these four have started together we have only conceded 13 from 22... relegation isn't a danger for us at all. Plus CL will give us a high profile to attract more talent and with our scouting system I'm sure all will be well
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 We can all offer our interpretation of what we see, but the decision (right or wrong) rests with the referee. Always has and always will. Good decisions, bad decisions, over a season they tend to balance out.
biggs Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 You guys are clearly under estimating yourselves in my opinion. It come across as tho some of you think this is a fluke or some sort. Hey you fluke a cup competition not a League. You've won it cause you've been the best over the longest period of time you've been the most consistent. Don't any of you recall Atletico Madrid and their La Liga win recently they didn't do it spending millions of pounds they won it by good scouting, playing like a unit and believing in each other with a good coach behind them just like Leicester now. How much could you command for Mahrez should you choose to sell £50.000.000+ easily. The foxes have the platform for continued success that is a certainty. I think most know we will be decent next year. Winning it all this year some would be willing to give almost anything away. Not in our craziest dreams would we have ever believed this could actually happen

AyewJoking Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 i dont remember where the ref was placed for the simpson hand ball but he nor the linesman probably didnt have a clear view. you could blame mane for hitting it right at simpson thus making it harder to distinguish any intent on simpsons part . the slow mo made it would look more arm to ball (whether it was deliberate or not) of course the ref doesnt have a slow mo replay and gave us the benefit of the doubt???? Huth's again would have been harder to judge in real time but on the replay its clear hand ball (looked more ball to hand but that still counts right?)

Never handball in a million years, Simpson is just running and if the elbow doent hit it then it hits the side, natural motion and no arm out... Huth however is more questionable but we have had decisions against us this season too

I understand but at the same time like I said CL football means we will attract a class of player up a level than if we finished mid table... basically we have secured our status as a serious team for a few years, with this set up and manager. Kante isn't replaceable I know that, he is the best in the world for what he does but that doesn't mean losing him is the end we have a profile and if used right we can continue the succes

If he does go where do you think he'll go?

nnfox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 The Simpson handball incident happened infront of me (row a). It happened so quickly i honestly thought it hit his chest. I've seen the replay and he would literally need his arm amputating for it not to hit him. Simpson was awesome today but Kante was magnificent. He is the one player to me that is irreplaceable. He is the best player in that position on the planet. A joy to watch.

smr Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 I had a clear view of it too, had no idea it hit his arm, no way intentional. Far too fast and close to be. Just seen Koeman's rant - had a lot of respect for him before that, but he's speaking out of his arse.
Carl the Llama Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Cladio says he may leave so maybe something has been said. If he does go where do you think he'll go? No he didn't. He did the same old manager spiel of not keeping a player if he's unhappy and wants to leave before immediately confirming that Kantés very happy and saying there's no chance. The only teams capable of prising him away are Europe's elite teams (ie. nobody in the Premier League) and they'd have to make absolutely massive offers for us to accept.

I think if he did go it has PSG written all over it. Maybe his just after an improved contract tho. Understandable really

Also Kante was also incorrectly commented on from a French interview, when asked about his future. Its just how journalism works, by turning indirect answers into facts.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 I think if he did go it has PSG written all over it. Maybe his just after an improved contract tho. Understandable really He wouldn't go back to France... to be honest playing for PSG is bloody boring, Barcelona or Madrid though who knows
Corky Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Simpson's wasn't a deliberate movement towards the ball, if anything he takes it away from an unnatural position. The Huth one would've been harsh given the proximity to Austin and the speed of the ball but we've seen them given.
Phube Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Big question of the day: Who did the better dive - Vardy or Van Gaal?
