Nalis Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 I might be biased coming from Northern Ireland but Steven Davis is probably one of the most underrated players in the Premier League.
Zear0 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Has he pissed himself? Not sure what fluid caused it. Classic XXL label sticking out too.
MattCan Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Recon they should only be given against us when 110% certain. I'm OK with that too
Swarles Barkley Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Question. Where the hell did 5mins of injury time come from?
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 AMAZING! Another fantastic result in this fantastic season. The first half was very close, both teams had good amounts of possession, I think it was fairly even. Thanks to Wes we took the lead though - a great header into the left hand corner and a classy ball in from Fuchs. Loved it when he ran over to the corner of SK1 to celebrate with all the players, huddled together as a team, great to see that ever present togetherness of this team. The second half Southampton were certainly more dominant, in terms of keeping the ball and crossing balls into our box. But, absolute credit to the back four for their defensive work, keeping focused and organised. Their an excellent defensive unit. Simpson and Morgan were both class today. What's great about this team, is the determination to keep leads when in front in matches, and today was another prime example of this. Every player is 100% determined to help each other, they work as a team, which is ultimately a very key factor to our success. Effort is always top notch every game from any player who either starts every week or come on as subs. Gray and Ulloa were very good when they came on today, they are definitely playing their part in this journey. I feel for Gray he's in an ideal environment at this club, being surrounded by quality talents like Albrighton and Mahrez is only going to help him develop as a winger, both defensively and attacking wise. I thought Southampton were fairly impressive today. You can see their a good side and why they are 7th. Their ability to retain possession is excellent. Solid defensively. Like I said pre match they are a well balanced team. The crowd were great today, although there were parts of the match where it went quiet, in those last 10mins every area of the stadium played their part in helping the boys seal the 3pts. Loved the moment where all of the ground collectively stood up singing 'We're gonna win the league.' It's moments like these that I will remember forever as a supporter and are worth cherishing. The link between the fans and players is the best I've seen at Leicester. I'm sure this strong link has helped us win points this season. Villa (H) was a great instance of this. We were 0-2 down, but the fans didn't quit and give up on the team, we raised the noise levels and won 3-2. Today, just when the players needed the supporters backing, it was there to help them seal the victory. When a link is this strong, It's one of the most important factors of a club's success, and we are certainly seeing this with our club. Immense time to be a Leicester City fan. Proud.
ithuriel Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Simpson man of the match for me, never thought I'd say that. Yet again we looked a little out of sorts and a bit tired and the Saints looked hungry but we won, 7 points clear with 18 left to play for.
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 It's very easy to get carried-away when something as amazing as this is happening. But I say in all sincerity, I'm not sure I've ever seen a City side put on a better defensive display as they did today. And I've been watching 40 years. The two centre backs were playing like the ball was a beach ball..they won EVERYTHING that got launched into the box. The two full backs were absolutely sensational too. Fuchs, both offensively and defensively and as for Simpson.....? where is the player of last season? He's been an absolute rock all season. The two sitting in front of them must have the best engines in the whole of the Premiership (essential in this division). Again today, they won so many 2nd balls against a Southampton midfield that had a numerical advantage. We simply look like a side with that all-important ingredient...belief....they simply go into every game thinking they'll win it. 7 points clear......it's ours now to give away. And I don't think we will. SO happy with this club. The one thing I would say is that we were lucky again today with the ref. I don't think either of the two penalty shouts were penalties (no intent). But let's face it, with the inconsistency in how the rules are interpreted, we've seen shouts like that given.
easilee Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 i thought they were both handballs and both pretty blatant. the simpson one is debatable as where is he actually meant to put his hand, but he clearly moves it towards the ball to block it. the huth one is just obviously handball. f uck "intent" or "the ball was close to his hand when it was kicked" he's handballed it. if that goes against us we cry for weeks But the rules which every team plays by Scouse, is Intent. There was none. The balls come in way too quick. We've had similar ones against us but we haven't made as big a deal as every other team does.
dedlock Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Only 2 teams have beaten us all season,2 of our 3 losses are by Arsenal, the other Liverpool. We played against a form team today and won. It's in our hands. Spurs,or ,unlikely,Arsenal need LC to lose 2 or 3 games. Can we collapse so badly? Real pressure was this time last year.
lgfualol Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 IIIIIII CANNNNY BELIEVEY IT Those steroids we put into Morgan's forehead worked well
The Doctor Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 It wasnt by his side, did you see the slomo replay? his arm was out in front of him and partially blocking the angle to cross, thats why the ball hit it. I'd give it, we was lucky It was down by his side and it was behind his main torso - unless there's one I completely missed you're having a mare.
dedlock Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Question. Where the hell did 5mins of injury time come from? The Ref did warn Kaspar and book Fuchs for supposed time wasting.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Brilliant amazing any superlative you want I have supported City for 50 years and I am on cloud f#cking nine I've followed City for 56 years, and to us older fans there are no words to describe our feelings. It's a culmination of all the feelings we have had, over a huge of time. I perhaps feel like the Genie in the lamp, just waiting for someone to release me! I just pray we can keep going, and finish the job
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Winning 1-0, after scrapping, and after wasting time in corner, long throws etc, having decisions for handballs going for us.... This victory feels even better.... So the spurs fans can rot in their misery..... Oooohhhh "we're coming for you Leicester city" .....idiots
fazzyfox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Question. Where the hell did 5mins of injury time come from? Should have been around 2 1/2 but the ref and 4th official had had so much flack from Southampton about time wasting at throw ins etc they added a couple of minutes. Using that rule Chelsea's games last season would have all been 110 minutes long!
Shinji-San Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 It was down by his side and it was behind his main torso - unless there's one I completely missed you're having a mare. Well I'll watch it later on motd, at the time looked to me like his arm was outstretched at a risky angle
KP Fox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Cracking pic. Was that the handball? Come on it was totally unintentional!

They are gonna amaze the whole world !
ARM1968 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 That was a quite sensational victory for many reasons, not least of which was most of our team had an off day, or at least a quiet by their standards day. Kante won tackles as usual but was very sloppy in distribution. Mahrez not really with it. Vardy made odd decisions. Albrighton seemed off the pace. Even Drinky was hit and miss. On the other hand the defence were like Gods of Olympus - incredible. The points were gathered. We march on. I believe we will beat Sunderland and Tottenham will lose to Man Utd.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 1-0 our defence and team immense, 3 more points on route to the Premier League Title. Resistance is futile.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Probably one of the best defensive performances I've seen from a City back four.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Probably one of the best defensive performances I've seen from a City back four. Our defence since Arsenal game when we lost 5-2 has been the best in the league for sure
KP Fox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Should have been around 2 1/2 but the ref and 4th official had had so much flack from Southampton about time wasting at throw ins etc they added a couple of minutes. Using that rule Chelsea's games last season would have all been 110 minutes long! Well that's crazy if that's the case because while we're messing around with the ball near the corner flag, the ball is still in play and if they can't get it of us that's their problem
iamafox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Winning the hard way shows that we have the mentality of champions and we need to keep showing that. I'd be more concerned if we were still conceding goals like we did in the first half of the season than not scoring enough. The pleasing thing is we've tightened up at the back and now we're keeping more clean sheets. At the end of the day, we will take any sort of victory that comes our way and that includes winning 1-0 because the reward is always the same, 3 priceless points.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Fantastic tribute to Vichai's birthday pre match today, with the giant flag in the East Stand and also the plane flying around the outside of the stadium with another birthday message attached on it.
