AyewJoking Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 stay away from the fighting cock forum guys, they're calling us names
Larry_LCFC Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 That Simpson block was never ever a penalty. His arm was into his body and it if it hadn't his arm, it would have hit his body.
sdb Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 So so stressful. Having to watch abroad in an Irish bar with no sound just made it all the more difficult. Simpson and Morgan. Wow. To the lass with a 'champions' scarf - have a word with yourself.
Alf Bentley Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Question. Where the hell did 5mins of injury time come from? The ref is supposed to allocate 30 seconds per substitution, I think, so that's 3 of the 5 mins. Although no trainer had to come on, the ref had to check on 2 or 3 players who went down with minor injuries. Plus we wasted a little bit of time (Fuchs booked for it). 5 mins seemed about right to me. The BBC News annoyed me just now, though, saying that Southampton had been slightly the better side. That's just the old idea that "more possession = better". Despite the high quality of their passing/possession, because of our brilliant organisation/defending they only managed 2 shots on target - Simpson's block & a long-shot routinely tipped over by KS. We created more chances. Saints were a good team and it was a tight match, but 1-0 was an accurate reflection.
Karljohn Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Nerves shredded. 35 years a fan and now on the verge of being champions. Beyond my wildest dreams.
weller54 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Winning 1-0, after scrapping, and after wasting time in corner, long throws etc, having decisions for handballs going for us.... This victory feels even better.... So the spurs fans can rot in their misery..... Oooohhhh "we're coming for you Leicester city" .....idiots Your further behind Your further behind Tottenham Hotspur.. Your further behind!
possiblygeorge Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Anything less than top spot will now be considered a failure to most of us. Just let that sink in.

STUHILL Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 MORGAN and SIMPSON... take a bow. They were incredible. The amount of balls into our box that they dealt with was unbelievable. One of the best defensive displays I have ever seen. Saints are such a dangerous team and to get all 3 points from a game where our attacking play never got going is very impressive and makes me feel much more confident we can get over the line.
Daz93 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Simpson played out of his skin today. Saying that, so did everyone at the back. It's within touching distance now!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 So what is everyone doing for the title celebrations
Wolfox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Anybody see our new Japanese fans turn up in SK4? - the big lad was box office... Had his own little Okasaki chant and got a massive round of applause What a day today... Electric atmosphere and mamouth performance...
ithuriel Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Saw the Japanese contingent before the match, all had the jester hats, banners etc., Fair play to them
themoralkiosk Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Has he pissed himself? Almost certainly, I walked past him outside the ground and he absolutely reeked. Eye watering.
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Btw...I think I saw today one of the best saves I've ever seen. Fook knows how he kept that looping deflection out. Amazing pass by Drinkwater.
benn Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Mathematically Leicester will be champion (the ideal scenario in 24 April) if : 10 april tottenham Man United draw Sunderland Leicester win diff +9 pts 17 avril Leicester West Ham win diff +9 pts 18 april stock city tottenham win diff +9 pts 24 avril Leicester swansea city win diff +9 pts else if : The 1mai with Man U Leicester just draw or at least the 7 Mai with Leicester everton to win finally the Championchip

Guest ttfn Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Huth's never a penalty either. Absolutely lashed at him from about half a metre away. I've been happy to concede that we've been fortunate on a number of occasions this season with referees but I'd have been really disappointed if either of those "penalty shouts" had been given.
LanguedocFox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Koeman moaning about 'two penalties, two penalties'. Whinge, moan, cry. My respect for him has dropped massively. And Wanyama could (maybe should) have been sent off for pulling back Vardy within ten minutes of the game starting.
ithuriel Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 The referee was the best I've seen this season, not a grand standing opera queen but a guy who tried to let the game flow. Was funny when Vardy did that pretend dive in front of him near the end
LanguedocFox Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 I've followed City for 56 years, and to us older fans there are no words to describe our feelings. It's a culmination of all the feelings we have had, over a huge of time. I perhaps feel like the Genie in the lamp, just waiting for someone to release me! I just pray we can keep going, and finish the job 59 and a bit years for me, and I know how you feel. As I've said several times, my big hope over the past couple of years is that we could win the FA Cup before I turn me toes up. Win the League? No chance, never in a million years. Like you said, keep going, keep nicking wins - and Spuds keep dropping points - and it's going to be the impossible dream come true. I'm fvckin' loving it!
Stan Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 The Fuchs booking was pretty funny, particularly as he stopped the throw-in because Ulloa had just slipped over!
Woof Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 What a team and now we don't even bother to check who is in before the match, we all know who is going to start and that is a significant part of our success I think. A few clearly affected by their international duties but we still played some great stuff in patches - could easily have been 2-0 and lowered the tension a bit at the end! I though Southampton looked one of the best teams we have played this season - they are also big strong lads, so our defending was fantastic - not a single real chance from any of their set pieces. Some great performances from the usual suspects, but I'd have to single out Simpson who has just got better and better this season and had a storming game today.
