Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 It's getting nearer Come on LEICESTER We can do this Up the Foxes
gdl9050 Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Swansea seem a good bet to score tomorrow. Just checked there away form all season and they have only failed to net in 5 games. They have beaten arsenal, Everton and villa away from home (all 2-1) And 7 out of there last 8 away games there has been 3 or more goals in the game. Also, since Guidolin has taken charge on 18th January, they have only failed to score in 2 out of 13 games. In summary, they aren't as bad as some people are making out. It's just because of there last game it has made people doubt there abilities.

The Arsenal game is the only one, and watching that game, Arsenal were cocky their first home game after beating us, they missed loads of chances and were not up for it. Their win at home two weeks ago to unbeaten chelsea under hiddink was big. Since then though they have reached 40 points and look to have taken their foot off. I do think Swansea will be much harder than a lot of people are suggesting even if we had Vardy. In fact trying to put a positive spin on it, not having Vardy will ensure all the players are going to give 110%... They already give everything, but that little extra Claudio was talking about. Everyone giving their all, manager, players and fans - we will have this 3-1
ALC Fox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 I'd like to see King as the most advanced midfielder with Okazaki buzzing around, providing the energy and industry up front. Mahrez to cut inside A LOT and King to move out wide and cover him defensively on the right when needed. King would also provide a good link with Okazaki, I think, and his tendency for a potshot or two could prove fruitful. Supersub Leo to change things by coming off the bench. However, I think these kind of tactics might be more likely against Man Utd away than Swansea at home. I can see Leo and Okazaki starting. But I'd like to see Gray being given a big role tomorrow as well, either on the right with Mahrez through the middle or as a sub replacing Albrighton on the left. Vardy will be a big miss but it's exciting to think of the options we have. I'm really hoping for a positive performance and my fingers are crossed for 3 points tomorrow.
Dodgy Bob Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Ulloa and Okazaki is a classic big man/small man partnership. Albrighton becomes much more dangerous with Ulloa to aim for. Okazaki can play further forward which will increase his goal threat. We've still got our solid banks of four with Drinky a goal threat and Kante looking increasingly dangerous with his surging runs forward as the season progresses. Not to mention one Riyad Mahrez. Plenty of strength and fire power in that team to beat the swans. No need to mess around with formation changes or round pegs in square holes.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Come on all you doubters we need positive vibes tomorrow Back the City to the hilt and let's cheer Leicester on to the holy grail Up the Foxes

From a liability at the start of the season, the defence is not only rock solid, but a good source of goals lately.

Once in a lifetime chance and we must grab itCome on Leicester Up the Foxes
Tuna Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Need to play like we did against west brom minus the conceding of goals of course. Fail to win this one and it's curtains i'm afraid Spuds will win all 4 remaining matched.

Fail to win this one and it's curtains i'm afraid Spuds will win all 4 remaining matched. Fail to win this one and we'll still be top of the league (with room for error if it's a draw on Sunday) with games against two sides with nothing to play for and another we've been comfortably better than this season. I'd still say we're favourites even if the gap is just one point going into the Everton home game.
leicesterseddon Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 I'm really not sure how we should set up tomorrow. In theory we could keep the same formation and play Okazaki and Ulloa upfront, but I have my doubts about how effective they will be. We could also switch to a 4-5-1 like in the second half against Watford, playing King, but I think it's a bit too defensive for the game. Or we could really switch it up and play Ulloa alongside someone like Schlupp/Gray or even Mahrez. My gut feeling is that CR will stick with 4-4-2 and put his faith in Okazaki and Ulloa, but I'm not sure how I feel about this...
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 It will work if okazaki plays the more advanced role. He has enough about his game that he has shown in Germany he can score goal. Even if we player more direct longer balls or winning 2nd balls... Ulloa will do that and he showed against West ham he was good at bringing others into play. I had my doubts about them to. But now ive convinced myself they will work well together. Set pieces will be important as will the crossing from mahrez and albrighton.
chapero82 Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Ulloa needs to get into the box when the crosses are coming in, he always seems to be on the edge of box this season
mikey54 Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Leonardo needs to finish this season like he started last season. Hope someone shows Claudio his goals from those first few games
4everfox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 We will win 4-0 and send shockwaves through the footballing world. Spurs fans will be crying at the realisation that this isn't going to be their year and the pundits will finally have to admit that we are the best team in the country and stop doubting us, its going to be biblical. Ulloa brace, Mahrez wonder goal and a Vardy-esque goal from Schlupp.

They've been in the Prem a while and have some good players, not all weakness. plus they've been better under their new manager. a draw isn't enough, else the pressure will just get worse for the next game which is a tough away game. We must beat them and that means outscoring them. without JV. not as easy as some ppl seem to imagine. I dont know what to expect tomorrow, it'll be nervy, obviously, but I hope we get the right result against a decent team.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 All the teams in the PL have good teams and should be a tough game. But just watching teams like Chelsea, Stoke and Swansea last week it looked like they didn't have that desire. If we're going to win this it going to be due to desire. As long as we don't make big mistakes we should win. When it comes to 50-50 challenges, and challenging at corners I can see huth causing problems. Obviously we need to watch players like sigurdson and Montero - but can't really see us losing a game like this when we've done so well all season.
Gerard Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Need to play like we did against west brom minus the conceding of goals of course. Fail to win this one and it's curtains i'm afraid Spuds will win all 4 remaining matched. I know it seems like that but Tottenham are 6/1 to win all their remaining games. The chances are Tottenham will drop points and if they do two more wins gives us the title. It's imperative we beat Swansea tomorrow as we'll have three games left and one more win should be enough. We don't want to be conceding any more of our five point gap in the next two weeks. If we get the same amount of points as Tottenham do then we'll be two points away and Tottenham will have to win to have a chance. A win tomorrow really turns the screws on them.

My gut feeling is that CR will stick with 4-4-2 and put his faith in Okazaki and Ulloa, but I'm not sure how I feel about this... The one thing I do hope for is that both Okazaki and Ulloa don't start together tomorrow. I have reservations of both of them lasting the 90 mins. If we start the pair of them then we have nothing more to offer substitution wise. I'd also like us to start Schlupp for some out and out pace and Albrighton to play wide right when Ulloa is on the pitch. I'd go: -----------------Ulloa--------------------- ---------------Mahrez--------------------- Schlupp Kante Drinkwater Albrighton I have total faith in our manager to make the right decision.
Clever Fox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 -----------------Ulloa--------------------- ---------------Mahrez--------------------- Schlupp Kante Drinkwater Albrighton That's a line up I like. Schlupp although not as good in front of goal offers more defensive cover also added to his blistering pace. I think we'll be ok tomorrow. It's the other 3 that will be more difficult. Onwards and upwards we go.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Come on LEICESTER Positives vibes Come onnnnnnnnnnnn City Up the Foxes
STUHILL Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Leonardo needs to finish this season like he started last season. Hope someone shows Claudio his goals from those first few games Totally agree. He drops deep for some reason and then never has the pace or stamina to get in the box where he is most use to us. I hope Claudio drills that into him as he can be very dangerous, especially in the air and with Albrighton and Mahrez putting quality crosses in, he could get the goals we need.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Ooh his name is Leanardo. . . . . Come on LEICESTER Up the Foxes Mahrez is due a good game Come on City
