Foxxed Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I'm really looking forward to seeing Okazaki. He was always overshadowed by Vardy. He was played out of position (ie not no. 9) His supporting position for Vardy gave us everything except goals from him. His class is obvious from his international games and Walsh's confidence in him. I reckon he could shine in Vardy's role. And Ulloa must be brimming with confidence after his last two essential goals for us. I think we'll win the next games, even without Vardy: silencing critics further. (And I've not even mentioned the attacking threats of Gray and Schlupp). COYF.

Babylon Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 There is a danger starting Ulloa that we will just play hoofball from minute one. I actually thought we had played it into feet more when he's been on as sub recently and he did a good job of holding it up. If we were playing say United and under more pressure I could see it happening, but we should have a decent amount of the ball and shouldn't be under masses of pressure.

His touch and hold up play in the last few games has probably been the best we've seen from him. Certainly this season.
foxes21 Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I think its a mistake starting both Ulloa and Shinji. Neither of them can complete 90 mins and probably have only done so a few times this season. If we start both, one of them is going to play 90 mins and it will probably be like playing with 10 men for the last 20 mins.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 This is the biggest game in our history. (I know we say that every week but that's the situation). Win this and we go 8 clear, if Spurs then lose it remains that way, a draw and its 7 and a Spurs win and its back to 5 - and that is still amazing with 3 games to go. If we lose then the gap could go down to 2, which isn't ideal at all. I have confidence that we can do this without Vardy, think of it this way, who wants it more and its going to give 110%? Leicester or Swansea?
hatasi Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 swansea and everton matches is the most important matches this season to win
Chester Dontlie Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Anybody else read this like a poem? I can say I wholeheartedly agree with its message! Shinji & Leo upfront for me as well. In the second half Okazaki can conserve his strenght if needed so he could even last full 90. If not, Claudio can always make changes, and there's always Schlupperman for the rescue. I hope Swans will be generous and allow us to bag more than a couple. Not really worried about Vardy's absence in this game, I'm sure everyone will be up to the task.
Callabinho Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 According to the media Spurs are going to piss it to the title. If we beat Swansea we will ruin their back pages for Monday.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Can see Williams being the hard man that doesn't forget and trying to kill Mahrez early doors and getting sent off.
Captain... Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Don't forget we have agent Dyer, they still love him at Swansea and he has a lot of friends in the dressing room that would be happy for him to win the title.
CosbehFox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 There is a danger starting Ulloa that we will just play hoofball from minute one. Pretty much worked against Swansea at home last time. Give em hell. Direct, quick, an absolute blitzkrieg on them in the first twenty minutes and watch them not fancy the rest of the game.
leicesterlad1989 Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Can't believe so many people are suggesting Schlupp should play the "Vardy role." You really are doing Leicester's number a 9 a disservice by suggesting Schlupp could do that sort of job. For all the huff and puff of Schlupp, he has no footballing brain. He won't make the same time of runs and he certainly doesn't have the sort of composure of Vardy. Nobody can replace Vardy! We can however use our genuine strikers; Okazaki and Ulloa. I think this is where they will shine. A goal each I reckon.

clark Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Lawro yet again predicts we'll drop points in a 1-1. I think he hates us even more than Spurs who he never seems to have anything good to say about either - though he is singing their praises this week (hard not to I suppose, with the way they are playing). He has them narrowing the margin to 3 points this w/e after a 3-0 win. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36091973 Looking at Swansea's situation, they ought to be safe on 40 points but there's no guarantee with the teams below them seeming to have got their stuff together recently. Swansea's fixtures after us are liverpool, west ham and man city, so they will probably see this game as their easiest given the stakes and the fact our star player is suspended. And Merson predicts the same, which surprises me a bit seen as though he's Arsenal. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/15205/10252568/mersons-predictions-tottenham-to-close-gap-on-leaders-leicester
bluesbrothers Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 There is a danger starting Ulloa that we will just play hoofball from minute one. If we do that and win 1-0 it's the perfect victory really. It will have the spud purists absolutely incensed. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11731/10252626/francesco-guidolin-wants-leicester-to-win-the-league-for-friend-claudio-ranieri Inb4 Spurs throw a mardy fit and demand to the FA that Swansea's manager is changed to one less biased in our favour
weller54 Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Don't forget we have agent Dyer, they still love him at Swansea and he has a lot of friends in the dressing room that would be happy for him to win the title. You reckon!?
J.Lisemore Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 If we can get an early goal, I think we could smash these 3 or 4-0. Fingers crossed Mahrez turns up this week
chapero82 Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 What is wrong with Merson these days? He's now saying he doesn't think Vardy is a great player http://www.skysports.com/football/news/15205/10252568/mersons-predictions-tottenham-to-close-gap-on-leaders-leicester
Brooksy Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Lawro and Merson reckon we'll draw 1-1. We're winning this then GET IN
Salieri Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Schmeichel Simpson -- Morgan -- Huth -- Fuchs Albrighton -- Drinkwater -- Kante -- Gray Mahrez Okazaki Would definitely like to see Mahrez central what with Vardy missing. He's been pretty ineffectual in the last few games so hopefully the switch plus the added responsibility will bring out the best of him. Gray has shown enough to warrant a start, I'd prefer him over Schlupp. Hard call between Okazaki and Ulloa but i'd favour Shinji, just.
FoxonMaui Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Cannot see anything other than Shinji and Ulloa starting this one. If that does not do the trick in the first half I would expect Claudio to have a plan B involving Schlupp and or Gray ready to go early in the second half, or moving Mahrez into a central role in the second half.. IF we win this game then Spurs are under real pressure to win in the game against Chelsea the following week with Vardy likely back for the last two games for sure. The scene seems to be set for Mahrez here over the next two games if Vardy is indeed going to get the two game ban.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Lawro and Merson reckon we'll draw 1-1. We're winning this then GET INGlad them utter bell franks are predicting a drawLet's prove the ****ers wrong yet again Win Leicester win
TrentFox Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 There is a danger starting Ulloa that we will just play hoofball from minute one.I couldn't give a flying feck what ball we play as long as we put more in their net than they out in our net. We just have to find a way to win. I don't care what that way is.
