Fuchs - 6 completely sold himself on Antonio for their second

Mahrez - 6 had a better first half than he has had recently

Drinkwater - 5 gave the ball away a lot today

Kante - 7 industrious as ever

Albrighton - 5 ineffective but should probably have stayed on a bit longer

Okazaki - 5 not good really

Vardy - 6 great goal and made a bad decision for the 'dive'

This is why I get so frustrated with supporters who don't understand Ulloa's role when he comes on to hold a 1v0 lead; or in this case when we are down to 10 men. What do you expect him to do? Stand on the half way line chasing every pass the defence plays?

Ulloa was superb when he came on. His hold up play, with the ball at his feet, was brilliant and he played his role today (to be the first of line of the defence) very well. He contributed to the defence by at times joint-tackling West Ham's players along with our CMs.

Honestly, because he doesn't sprint or doesn't have the finish of Vardy, a lot of our fans overlook his contribution to the team (especially his contribution in the last 5 games).

Schmeichel - 8 - No chance for the goals but great save early on and did well commanding his area, particularly to create the break for the first

Simpson - 6 - Steady but unspectacular as per

Huth - 7 - Bullied their attack all day

Morgan - 5 - Hard done by for the penalty given what the ref let them get away with, but still a blemish on his performance

Fuchs - 5 - Got caught out for their second but put some good balls in, including one that should have lead to a penalty

Albrighton - 6 - As with Simpson

Kante - 7 - drove well for the first goal, had a decent handle on the centre

Drinkwater - 6 - Some sloppy passing, good ball to set Vardy away for the penalty appeal/dive

Mahrez - 6 - Hit and miss a bit, some brilliant touches but still subdued compared to his normal best

Okazaki - 5 - Pushed and shoved around, didn't have much impact

Vardy - 7 - Great finish, caused problems and harshly treated for the first yellow while the second was debatable.

subs:

Amartey - 6 - didn't do much wrong, think it was him who won the ball back well to create our penalty

Ulloa - 7 - Nerves of steel at the end but got drawn too deep too much when trying to close the game out

Schlupp - 6 - didn't get too involved, bought the penalty well though

Ranieri - 6 - Hard with the sending off but got the approach wrong after that.

West Ham - 5 - Kicked everyone, offered little else bar one screamer of a strike.

Moss - 1 - No control over the game, didn't let it settle, gave out nonsense yellow cards, a sending off that was harsh to say the least, got several penalty calls wrong. Don't think he did a thing right besides blow the whistle to start and end each half.

He started ending up further back than Drinkwater and Kante (chasing Antonio down the wing for instance). Dropping back a bit is fine but when he comes back and starts playing like a CDM we lose an out ball and it just kept pinging back forward for them.

Ref doesn't deserve a rating.

Ulloa was absolutely magnificent today. Brilliant hold up play, worked hard and then slotted that penalty nicely.

Kasper 8 Quick thinking for our goal. What a personality he has. Passion

Simpson 7 Dealt with Payet very well, pick of the back 4

Huth 7 Unlucky not to get a goal, threat for us offensively and defended well

Morgan 6 Naive for the pen- so much tugging and pulling going on all game that the ref was bound to give a penalty eventually

Fuchs 6 Maybe at fault for the second goal. Not his best game

Albrighton 5 Very quiet game

Drinkwater 6 Some sloppy passing today

Kante 7 Quite superb contribution for the first goal

Mahrez 7 As above and I thought he battled extremely well today

Vardy 7 First yellow ridiculous but I thought the penalty incident was a dive from him. We will miss him hugely next week

Okasaki 5 Anonymous again

Ulloa 8 Superb all over the pitch and a great pen under pressure

Amartey 7 Like the look of him a lot

Schlupp 6 Some brainless play but kept going which ended with us getting a slightly soft pen

Thought Ranieri's subs were good

I said ulloa was good and today was different because of being against 10 men but most of his best hold up play is done nearer to our own box than the half way line. Could have done with him being nearer the half way line to allow the defence to move forward.

I certainly appreciate what ulloa brings the team on occasion.

8 for Kasper who was dominant today and pulled off that worldie

8 for Leo, incredibly cool finish and did his very difficult job well when he came on

7's everywhere else, battled brilliantly for so long until Moss sharted on us.

First time I have scored a ref as 1, and that is generous!

Mostly 7's except Schlupp and Ulloa as 8, and Kante 9 MOTM.

8 for Ranieri. Great subs.

8 for West Ham. They had a game plan to dive for freekicks and score at setpieces. It nearly worked. Ironic that it was our player done for simulating considering the diving and simulating that they got up to.

Schmeichel 7 - Made a fantastic save very early on when the ball just about stayed out of our net. Good catches from crosses, decent. Love his passion with the fans at the end of every game, today was the same as well.

Simpson 8 - I thought he was very good today, solid. Considering he had to come up against Cresswell and Payet at times, he did well to defend and stay calm. I've noticed in lots of games his tactical awareness of himself and others around him is excellent.

Morgan 7 - Overall he did well. Keeps us organised amongst others.

Huth 7 - Same as Morgan, solid for the majority.

Fuchs 7 - Good performance from him today. Consistently good and you can tell he's played in the Champions League with the experience he has. Always using his vision to look for forward runs.

Albrighton 7 - Good display. His defensive work is fantastic and he always tries his best every match. Effort and workrate is superb and he's a great player to have in the team. Nice bits of play today.

Drinkwater 7 - Helped defensively a lot today given the attacking options West Ham have got. Kept the ball moving throughout, and created some nice balls through to the strikers.

Kante 8 - Energy, timing of tackles, movement on and off the ball - superb and that's only to name a few of his attributes. Excellent run through the middle to assist Vardy's goal.

Mahrez 7 - Looked tidy, trying to work opening's of play. First half in particular he played his part in defending helping out Simpson. Moments of class.

Okazaki 7 - Steady and retained good possession on the ball, nice footwork. Nice movement and runs at times.

Vardy 7 - He was doing well until the second yellow. Lovely finish for his goal.

Amartey (SUB) 7 - Did pretty well in fairness. He did well to get into the game, a close tense game at that.

Ulloa (SUB) 9 - Our best player today when he came on. Great touches, held the ball up well, brought others into the game, helped a lot defensively when he tracked back. Credit to him for having the confidence to pick the ball up and convert the pen with calmness. Very good penalty. Impressive display from Leo.

Schlupp (SUB) 7 - Pacey and energetic. Good player to bring on considering he can attack and defend.

WEST HAM - Their a quality side with some classy players. I certainly think they are worthy of being in the position they are. Bilic has done a great job really. Thought when they scored the second to make it 1-2 that was one of the best goal celebrations from away fans at Filbert Way I've seen in a long time.

RANIERI - Tactically great with the subs he bought on today. I think I've mentioned it before on here but his tactical work has, and continues to win us so many points over the course of the season.

He was chasing Antonio down the wing because Schlupp was central/tried to attack down the right iirc and was out of position.

He was brilliant. Ulloa didn't put a foot wrong only suspect from Leicester point of view was Vardy. All else were great. If he had just been a smidgen more careful not pushing for penalty at evéy second we'd have won 1-0.

Ulloa's performance was faultless.

I agree referee was worst I've seen ever seriously and Vardy shouldn't have been sent off but none of penalties in that game were penalties in my book apart from maybe Huth's that wasn't given

Eye, that wasn't to say you in particular don't appreciate his contribution; more of a generalised point from some of our fans :)

Thought Drinkwater had a cracking game. Kante didn't seem at his best and I thought Drinky made up for this by covering a lot of ground especially when we went to 10 and had some great first touches given how crowded the middle of the pitch was

Posted

MOTM can only be Jon Moss. He went all out to steal the show and did it in style. Well played to him.

Posted

Ranieri an 8 for keeping his head in the after match interviews and Ulloa an 8 & MOTM for keeping his cool for the penalty and his aggressive hold up play.

Mostly 6 & 7s with Albrighton & Okazaki getting 5s as they both seemed lost in this game.

The Ref had a mare to be honest but both sets of defenders were guilty of some of the worst pushing, pulling and cheating I have seen in the Premier League, maybe this game will be a benchmark with the League looking at tightening up on what is creeping into the English game and maybe putting an end to it....

Up the City....

Had to score the ref one, just wish there was a lower option.

Gave everyone an 8, we didn't pull up trees, but great performance under the circumstances.

West Ham were a good side, sham they were in the refs ear, especially Carroll, whilst commit the same things as they moaned about.

Some of the West Ham antics bordered assault and went unpunished lol
