filbertstreet Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Since it wasn't here yet, SSN and Gazzetta linking us to Benteke http://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercato/04-05-2016/calciomercato-leicester-vardy-real-madrid-chelsea-mahrez-barcellona-psg-drinkwater-manolas-kante-150476631361.shtml#
Guest kristianity77 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Never happening. Thats probably just his agents stirring up false interest because they know Benteke is out the door at Liverpool in the summer for being...garbage.
GaelicFox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 At a price he would be OK ass a squad option , he never caused any problems at villa or Liverpool and seems a very hard working guy Exactly they type of man that would fit in well At a good price he could be a shrewd buy

Whether they'd be willing to make a loss of over 20+ million though...
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Personally think he would be a good signing. We're quite a cross oreinated side in terms of using the wings, so he could be perfect for Albrighton crosses for instance. I do think if he can come into form he would score goals for us.
Wilson_6 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Would take him in a heart beat. He was class at Aston villa. Definitely an upgrade on Leo.
Wymsey Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Great in the air, but his footwork can be bad for this level.

No chance as Liverpool won't want to lose too much money on the deal and there is no way he'll come in on lower wages, wages that our players aren't on yet but deserve.
MPH Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Great in the air, but his footwork can be bad for this level. Unlike velcro-footed Ulloa, of course....
RedSoxUK Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Not being funny but he would be a major dissapointment. Wouldn't want to pay any £ for any non-starting Premier League player thats so obviously overpriced.
peach0000 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Very good for Villa, and a proven Premier League goalscorer, which is something we need if anything was to happen to Vardy.
Leicesterpool Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 We've got to take this guy, he's not been getting the service up at Liverpool but if we could get the form out of him like when he was at Villa then we'd certainly have a great partnership up front.
thegaffa Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 I'd definitely take him, 115 premier games and 50 goals. He virtually kept villa up on his own whilst he was there and is a big upgrade on ulloa goal wise. With the four competitions next season he could get us 15 plus goals quite easily over the course of the season. Players like this though, will need to fit into our ethos and ongoing project.
thegaffa Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 I'm not sure he's our brand of football. That's my concern overall but over the season he would be a great option
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Absolute beast on form would take him no question. At his best running from deep onto crosses so not sure about this talk of not suiting our style of play he will just be a slight variation on how we play.

I don't think it's so much of him not suiting our attacking play, I think it's the defensive side and work rate side of his game that is being questioned for some of us.
Fox92 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Would take him, yeah. Scored the goals for Villa - albeit in a bad side - he hasn't had a great run at Liverpool.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 He's a proven goalscorer at PL level, which is why I am drawn to the signing. If we can get all the negotiations right, he could be a smart addition for me.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Dilly ding dilly dong, we're champions league man. Don't need someone who's shite for Lolerpool.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Nah we should continue to go for unknowns or go all out for Ronaldo or someone. Plus he got a funny shaped head
Guest Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Would be a great signing for our alternative attack. Guy knows how to score given the opportunity.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Unlike velcro-footed Ulloa, of course.... Indeed, streets ahead of his name is Leonardo and as he's out the door possibly come whatever won't be that much more than what we paid for him in the end.
