filbertstreet Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 We're still in for him apparently, pace pace pace http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/05/04/report-leicester-city-to-revive-bid-to-sign-ahmed-musa-from-cska/
katieakita Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 At least this summer we should be able to outbid Villa.
SpacedX Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 At least this summer we should be able to outbid Villa. Thank **** we didn't.
MPH Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 At least this summer we should be able to outbid Villa. I think i remember we bid more for him but he thought Villa were a better prospect
katieakita Posted 5 May 2016 Posted 5 May 2016 Thought Walshy Snr was on the payroll of Villa as they seemed to be linked with every player we were after last season,
HighPeakFox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 We're still in for him apparently, pace pace pace http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/05/04/report-leicester-city-to-revive-bid-to-sign-ahmed-musa-from-cska/ Sounds like he's interested as well: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/ahmed-musa-to-arsenal-leicester-city-target-would-be-happy-to-join-the-gunners-in-the-summer-a6918691.html The 2nd article was issued in March, so not sure it really helps your argument
Bayfox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I think i remember we bid more for him but he thought Villa were a better prospect We did bid more, but Villa have History
UPinCarolina Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I'm sure his club will want £28 million + this time around, just to fleece us for winning the league and wanting him badly.
hatasi Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 i'm not sure about this player ... I remember how Doumbia was a legend compared to him when they were playing together at cska, (now doumbia is not even a starter for newcastle)
what? Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Remember when we failed to sign this guy (or any other striker) in January and everyone was prophesying doom. "If Vardy gets injured how are we going to rely on Ulloa to win us the league?!" Incredible how every single player stepped up their game and got us there. This team really is something else.

This team really is something else. and you weren't? To be honest I'm not even sure the Club were that confident - there was much talk of Remy and/or Gayle coming in - in retrospect neither would be regarded as good enough the way things panned out

To be honest I'm not even sure the Club were that confident - there was much talk of Remy and/or Gayle coming in - in retrospect neither would be regarded as good enough the way things panned out Oh definitely I was too! Just meaning how incredible everyone turned out to be despite our worries.
MPH Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I'm sure his club will want £28 million + this time around, just to fleece us for winning the league and wanting him badly. he has a 23.6m release clause that we were not willing to meet... last time around anyway...
DB11 Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Yes please. Remember when we failed to sign this guy (or any other striker) in January and everyone was prophesying doom. "If Vardy gets injured how are we going to rely on Ulloa to win us the league?!" Incredible how every single player stepped up their game and got us there. This team really is something else. No one was on about winning the league in January
UPinCarolina Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 Yes please. No one was on about winning the league in January I wouldn't say that "no one" was - but many were definitely quaking in our boots about not having a sufficient strike corps.

oldbluefox Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Based on the YouTube video I have just watched I'm not sure he is much better then Schlupp. Plenty of pace, plenty of endeavour but I couldn't really say the end product was particularly special. Invariably he either got fouled, the ball went out of play or it went to the opposition. I reckon there are better out there at that kind of money but if Steve Walsh says he is right then that's good enough for me. He will have seen more than a 5 minute YouTube clip.

bald reynard Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 http://africanfootball.com//news/628095/EXCL-Ahmed-Musas-transfer-to-Leicester-75-complete-Confidant? done deal? Not ANOTHER winger, please ! We've got Albrighton, Mahrez, Gray and Schlupp, all vying for the 2 wide slots - plus Dodoo as back up. Musa would be big money as well. I can only see it worth signing him, if Riyad is on his way ?
