LEICESTER IN FOR MUSA

Leicester City have made a bid in the region of £23m for CKSA Moscow striker Ahmed Musa, according to the Russian club's manager Leonid Slutskiy.

The Premier League champions were interested in the 23-year-old in January, but have now returned with a concrete offer for the Nigeria international.

"The British club offered a bit less than €30m (£22.86m)," Slutskiy said.

"Musa came to me a few days ago and asked when he [Ranieri] is back for the holidays and I told him I do not know, I do not know Ranieri."

Just imagining some slow CB's having to face Vardy and Musa. Perhaps with a bit of Schluppy as well.... lol

Looks like we'll be penalty leaders again

I know everyones raving about this but is he actually worth that much? £23 million seems a lot for someone who's only performed in the Russian league. Also pace doesn't automatically mean good.

I'm genuinely asking, I don't really know anything about him other than his fifa rating lol

Vardy might want to play in goal next season! :)

Reading all the Nigerians opinion on him on Twitter doesn't make for good reading. Many are very scathing of him saying he's so frustrating, drifts in and out of games and basically a poor mans Nani.

He did score 18 goals last season for CSKA though.

I've read that too, but he is still only 23.

Wow. Reading every Nigerians opinion on twitter must have taken a long time.

Yeah that's exactly what I meant, genius.

Whenever we've spent what's classed as big money for us it's not been a massive success but at some point that is going to change. I'd be amazed if we were going to smash our transfer record more than treble that the player would be so questionable as Musa appears to be.

Those the same Nigerians who all think Arsenal are the best team ever?

He's 23 and as quick as feck, it's quite clear why we're going for him. If Vardy was out we'd miss his pace. When I saw Musa play a full match, he was quick... not just in terms of pace, but how he played. It was one touch and move the ball, or get it and get forward quickly. You could see him fitting into a counter attacking system perfectly.

He might be frustrating, but... at the end of the day the Nigerian team at the minute is cack. In a team set up to play to his strengths then he could be very effective.

I'd rather trust views of a Mr Steve Walsh who has tried to sign this guy 3 times since January rather than a genius who respects the views of a bunch of NOBODYS on twitter.
