sgt_wilko Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 The club aren't doing it themselves this year, it is being released through a company called Spirit. Release date was confirmed today as 13th June, in time for Fathers day. HMV in town will be stocking it and are taking pre-orders.

Release date was confirmed today as 13th June, in time for Fathers day. HMV in town will be stocking it and are taking pre-orders. For sure? Struggle to believe that. Are you sure this simply is just an alternative version? Although would think the club might have something to say about that. Even if the club gave another company the job of producing it i'm sure they'd be stocking it in the club shop.
sgt_wilko Posted 6 May 2016 Author Posted 6 May 2016 The club will probably be stocking it although they knew nothing about it yesterday. Last year they did the production and editing in house, this year they've sold the rights. Blu-ray scheduled for release on 4th July.
Matt Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 http://store.hmv.com/film-tv/blu-ray/leicester-city-fc-season-review-2015-2016 Here it is via HMV. Looks like the images the club have been using in the past week so i'm almost certain the club shop will be stocking it aswell. Standard definition (I presume) is being released on the 13th June as been mentioned, priced at £14.99 Blu-Ray (Which is what i've provided the link for) will be released on the 4th July, priced at £19.99.
The Blur Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 It is mad how I am pre-ordering everything in advance as I will be going to Kenya on a volunteering program for three months so I do not want to miss out on anything!
fazzyfox Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 I was hoping for a 3D version to relive Dyers collision with the Villa keeper, look away now children.....
Kitchandro Posted 6 May 2016 Posted 6 May 2016 It will be better if the club doesn't do it tbh. Agreed, they are dreadful based on their recent season reviews. This is good news if true.

Sir Shep Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 I really do hope that they put all of the interviews, post match celebrations etc from yesterday on this as extras, be a bit disappointed to just have 2 mins of this after showing the goals.

Jace Posted 8 May 2016 Posted 8 May 2016 Ideal couldn't be even worse than the club 1s, knowing the marketing department I'm surprised they didn't decide not to bother this season

Footballwipe Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Let's be honest, nothing will ever beat the VSI years. They offered excellent reviews and didn't shirk the controversial moments, dealing with Little & McGhee, MON turning down Leeds. They had interviews and a narrator who contextualised what you were watching. Carlton did a semi-decent job, their 2002/03 effort was the best, though they did have to contend with Peter Taylor and relegation. They did give us the Central News presenter Dennis Coath as commentator who was, shall we say, not great. An ideal season review starts out by rounding up the summer. Mention Pearson's departure and then Ranieri coming in. We need the voiceover to emphasise how sceptical people were originally. Move onto the summer signings (emphasise Kante, new Mahrez contract) and maybe a goal or two from pre-season friendlies. Then we hit the new season. Voiceover the cup action and arc to focus on Vardy and his run, putting us top of the table, then onto the hype before Man Utd and the eventual breaking of the record. After that re-focus on the top-of-the-table. Explore the defeat at Liverpool and the subsequent 0-0 draws, don't ignore them they're an important part of our character this season. Vardy's goal v Liverpool then a little intro to the Man City game, and another for the Arsenal game. From then on in it's all about the title. Narrator should be focusing on Spurs' results as well to emphasise how the gap closes-widens etc. There should definitely be a brief bit on the Chelsea-Spurs game (goals) to contextualise the celebrations they'll show. Special feature/focus on Everton and then round-up the season in a montage with the voiceover taking about how incredible it's been, and emphasise what the next season will bring. No reflective interviews. If you want to use any interviews take them from the post-match reaction or press conferences, there and then is best to look back on And please use either MOTD or Sky/BT/World Feed commentators. Nothing much worse than dubbed-over commentary tl;dr - make it a good one Spirit!
GloverFox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Pre order in ... and saved 2p ordering through Amazon as HMV's website kept returning an error!!!
