With exchange rates, or trading generally, everything is always easier with hindsight. If the Brexit vote had gone the other way the pound would be soaring and we'd be congratulating them for holding off.

 

In business you can buy what are called currency forward contracts.  That means you can lock in an exchange rate years in advance if you wanted to.  I'm sure our owners will be aware of these being international business men.

He's at the training ground now, so I'd bloody hope so. We really do struggle to get deals done, I wouldn't mind if it's because we were negotiating a good deal.... but it's usually some shit like a 3p release clause.

Yeah there last Monday, yesterday and today by all accounts. Hopefully the release clause will be more than 3p! lol

Yes, but then it becomes a matter of when to lock in. Hindsight can still make a fool of you. It does however give certainty to the amount paid in your own currency, so I can see why companies do it.
