wardyfox86 Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Spot on.More chance of England beating Iceland following a Raheem Sterling winner assisted masterfully by Jordan Henderson with a forward pass

MC Prussian Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Part of me is slowly coming to terms with the scenario that if we sign Mendy, N'Golo Kanté is surely bound to leave. I don't know whether we'd want or can accommodate two of the same type of player in midfield simultaneously.
Master Fox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 I'm just waiting for Kante to sign I new an improved deal. Him and Mendy in centre midfield pushing us on to back to back titles while winning the Champions League. It's happening.

I don't know whether we'd want or can accommodate two of the same type of player in midfield simultaneously. From what I've seen they play differently to each other

Woof Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Sounds close. I wonder what the last bits of the contract are that they are still haggling over? Perhaps it is like a pop star contract where they finish up arguing about what they can have in their dressing room - "6 bottles of crystal and 4 bowls of fruit, including mangos is our final offer"

I don't know whether we'd want or can accommodate two of the same type of player in midfield simultaneously. Mendy has been on our radar for a long time so the fact that it is happening (his signing) when there is such a lot of speculation over Kante is just coincidence. I think positive signings such as this will only help keep our squad together as it shows a massive intent on the part of the owners. Keep the faith MC !
UPinCarolina Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Is he actually signing? Do we have concrete assurances? I'm just wary. I love the idea of Kante and Mendy sharing a midfield, but where does that leave Marc?

Wakeyfox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 These medicals are taking an age! I normally have to wait about 3 weeks to get into the doctors
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Oh Mendyyyyyy You came, but you reaaaallyyyyyy kept us waaaiiiitiiiing! Was it all the med-i-caaaaaaaals?
forfuchssake Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Information I was given yesterday was a 4 year deal would be announced today. I presumed mendy but turns outs vards
wardyfox86 Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 We've been "closing in" on this deal since last Friday. it's making me imagine a sort of Benny Hill style chase (complete with music) around the boardroom at the club. Mendy has said he will sign and as long as Top can catch him We should adopt that method should anybody attempt to sign Kante, he would never leave
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 June 2016 Posted 23 June 2016 Prostate check in progress....I hole heartedly concur
AS78UK Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 If the bid was in Euros then that suddenly became more expensive for us. What a difference a day makes.
