apple987 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Bet everyone is hoping he fails at the euros now and is Continued to play out of position
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The positive is we are actually getting good money for a player who maybe only has a couple of seasons left in him
les-tah Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Regarding the tweet that's very odd. if it was bullshit and he's staying she would saying something reassuring like "don't believe everything you see in the press" but instead basically saying "leave me alone it's not my fault". Let's hope it's a ploy to get more money!
Corky Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Wonder what his reaction would be if he scores against us... Celebration from the Arsenal fans I reckon.
TJB-fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 When's the last time Sunderland won a top division title, though? Call me cynic. I could call you overly romantic. But pledging allegiance to a club or staying at one club for more than just two, three years is an exception in today's market. Saying things and doing things are two entirely different matters. And it's no different in Vardy's case. At some point, we might have to accept that the past season was a unique happening, a feat that won't be repeated for a long, long time. I'm happy with what we've achieved and I am looking forward to European football. Always love the club, nothing else matters. Completely get where you're coming from, and I'm sure you want lcfc success just as much as I do. But, were in the best position the club has ever been in for our entire history, financially and stature wise, I just don't want to miss this opportunity. Yes I probably am overly romantic (I'm usually cynical about football) but i genuinely thought/think we have something really special going on here (not just last seasons title) and I genuinely think we can build to last- we're not done yet.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Bet everyone is hoping he fails at the euros now and is Continued to play out of position Nah, he also is guaranteed to central role now but I want him to do well he has been brilliant for us. We will move on
jazz Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 His missus on Twitter is fu cking breaking me that girl loves the attention fully fanning the flames winding the fans up
hairmetalgamer Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 When he leaves do you think the lookalike will be safe at the ground
apple987 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Regarding the tweet that's very odd. if it was bullshit and he's staying she would saying something reassuring like "don't believe everything you see in the press" but instead basically saying "leave me alone it's not my fault". Let's hope it's a ploy to get more money! You think Arsenal would actually bid £20 million for nothing? They would have spoken to vardys agent already and given them the green light
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 When he leaves do you think the lookalike will be safe at the ground He will have to move to north London, I blame him...
Buzzell Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It will be interesting to see who the club have lined up if there letting Vardy go. Surely they must have something up their sleeve?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 You think Arsenal would actually bid £20 million for nothing? They would have spoken to vardys agent already and given them the green light They did with Suarez and didn't get him
Jace Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Closest they'll get to having a Premier League winners medal
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Does anyone think his book deal could also be to do with this? He already has a book coming out this year, any future books will want a lot more to tell. If he stayed at Leicester for 4 years and not much happened then what? Nope, I think he's a thicko who has his wife in his ear going on about how good their life will be in a big city out of Leicester (self-interested) and his agent going on about all of the dollar dollar he can make if he moves now as young as possible $$$$ (also self-interesting). Bunch of C-Units, and Vardy is not intelligent enough or has the imagination to think things through himself.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It will be interesting to see who the club have lined up if there letting Vardy go. Surely they must have something up their sleeve? They have a lot of time to pick the suitable replacement no need to rush, it needs to be done right
tsintskaro Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Club rated him for just 20mil and they did it when he made a record and was in great shape It means they already considered him going and did not do much to convince him to stay The worst thing is that after this transfer Mahrez and Kante are more available for other clubs
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Hate to say it lads but it's breaking news on kisstory. Gutted
Buzzell Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 His missus on Twitter is fu cking breaking me that girl loves the attention fully fanning the flames winding the fans up Tbf our fans shouldn't be biting and abusing her. It won't help the cause.
EGBFitness Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 When he leaves do you think the lookalike will be safe at the ground I bet this is the reason why the club accepted it think he had started to become a bad smell
apple987 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 25/1 for us to win the league next season? Make that 250/1. No chance at all if Vardy goes. Does anyone think the players all knew this was likely? The whole party round Vardys house thing. Giving him a good send off.
Sly Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 A few schools of thought on this one. 1) Vardy doesn't adapt quickly. He's 29, moving to a club that has less patience with players than us. If he doesn't hit the ground running, his career could stall. We've built a team around him, Arsenal won't do that. He'll end up like other forgotten players. 2) He see's us as one season wonders, has a taste for winning and wants more. More money, London life etc .... Can't blame the lad, he's 29. Either way, one man didn't win us the league. It was s collective effort. We'll find someone else!! Life goes on!!
TJB-fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Club rated him for just 20mil and they did it when he made a record and was in great shape It means they already considered him going and did not do much to convince him to stay The worst thing is that after this transfer Mahrez and Kante are more available for other clubs Doubt the club would have agreed on 20m I imagine it was Vardy and his agent that made sure it was that low
Buzzell Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 https://twitter.com/RebekahVardy/status/739041764464562176 It's shit like this that could potentially push a deal through.
