Tielemans63 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 105.4 Magic FM now reporting it, final nail in the coffin lads Hopefully they play me some lighthouse family because right now I need two positives after this negative I think a quick blast of 'Lifted' is literally the only thing that bring us out of this darkness.Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
DennisNedry Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 IF he goes, then we need to buy a big money replacement and make sure Mahrez and Kante stay. Can't see how going to Arsenal is a good move to be honest. If he does go there, I sincerely hope he flops and his legs go in a couple of seasons. Will be one of my all time favourite City players mind.
NeilLCFC Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Heart FM just stopped 'Lifted' by the Lighthouse Family, midway, to announce it
Viva Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Of course not.. I'm just saying we surely aren't stupid enough to insert a release clause into a new deal if one hasn't existed before.. in a lot of people's eyes he is worth £30+ therefore to stick in a release clause of 2/3rds of that amount is odd.. It has to have been in there before The idea of a release clause is it's a guaranteed way a player can leave but the club get back normally a great return. Point being he is a bargain at £20m and i just can't get my head around how the fee is so low! It is quite simple to understand. In January he probably had offers to go to another big club. Vardy himself might have wanted to leave then. We persuaded him to stay with us until the end of the season to see what we could achieve. In doing this though, he probably wanted a guarantee that we wouldn't stand in the way of a move for him in the summer. Hence the lower than proper value release clause. If the clause was £30-35 million, it would be likely that a bigger club might have not come back in for him at his age.
Ric Flair Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 His silence tell us everything we need to know Sadly, I think you're right.
EGBFitness Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Feel like I should be more upset than what I am. Tbh I'm not actually that bothered, if he wants to go for an extra £20k then go, if he seriously feels that he is above and beyond this club then I think it's time to say good bye. Throughout the season I always feared if we loss Vardy through injury/suspension we would struggle due to the team playing around Vardy and us not having a like for like replacement. I know it's hard to find a 15/20+ goal a season striker - especially one to hit the ground running but if this goes through we have plenty of time to find a replacement - that's not saying we haven't got players earmarked as we would of been expecting something like this to happen. The club is in a strong position to appeal to a lot of potential target out there whereas when we sold Heskey we was still a mid table secure club that could offer the odd cup run. Personally I think Vardy will be silly to make the move but as always we will move on - look how many clubs there are out there that have sold players to only being in the next big thing. The only problem could be if it opens the door for Mahrez and Kante to leave - I will be genuinely disappointed to see them go as they play a more privital role for the team, still young and could help take the club to the next level
Drew Peacock Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 When he leaves do you think the lookalike will be safe at the ground I saw him buying an Arsenal shirt from Loughborough market. It's Vardy and his wife who won't be safe.
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 anyone got any more shit radio station gags left, think we have done the whole uk fm frequency
foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 20 mill use that to get in a serious talent, young and hungry to replace him...

Well what a coont for regularly going on record how happy he is here and won't be going anywhere. That's why it's a shock.
StanSP Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 CBeebies reporting it now as well. Really don't want to believe this.
Tielemans63 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 We won't even care when Musa spanks in his 44th goal of the season. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I'll actually shit in a box and send it to Leicester North sorting office if that lookalike and his odd cult of followers has genuinely caused one of our best players to consider leaving And not a wipe and go either I'm talking one of those horrid sloppy ones
Christoph Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Yep looks like hes going. Think were all clutching at straws now. Wonder who our new strikers will be? We surely have to buy 2 strikers as a minimum. Hopefully they can produce the goods...

ozleicester Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I saw him buying an Arsenal shirt from Loughborough market. It's Vardy and his wife who won't be safe. Bastard, not even buying official merch

The type that takes a whole bog roll to clear it up.
blue army 1988 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I don't think there is a release Claus in his contract. I don't think he would leave Leicester this season. I don't think he's been allowed to talk about it. I don't think his wife would be with him if he was having a medical. I don't think people should read into tweets and what the media has to say as 90% of the time it's not true.
ScouseFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 WHEN YOURE CLOSE TO TEARS REMEMBER SOME DAY ITLL ALL BE OVER
Koke Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 People saying its modern football. It's just football mate. We sold Lineker to Everton and Smudger to Arsenal in the 80s. Bigger clubs always pinch players. Just like we pinch players from the likes of Bristol City and Brighton.

RonnieTodger Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If you tweet abuse to his wife then you're a massive weirdo. If you tweet her saying "don't worry about abuse, we still love Jamie!" you're a massive weirdo. If you tweet anything to our striker's wife, you're a weirdo.
