ealingfox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Arsenal do not 'consistently challenge for the title every year'. They might finish high up the table but they are never in the title race for more than 10-20% of the season, and that portion always comes before March. They have not won it for 13 years. Arsene Wenger is no longer a good enough manager to win the league. I said as much last summer and last season has proved it emphatically. Everybody watches the games at the top of the table knowing Arsenal have no chance. The perfect analogy of Arsenal seasons is when Schlupp gets the ball in space in the attacking half at the KP. Everyone's attention is grabbed, stands up, gets excited at times along the way, but EVERYBODY in the stadium knows full well he's going to blaze it wide as soon as he gets anywhere near the goal. They are a loser club, loser fans, loser manager, loser players and loser mentality. No it doesn't mean they aren't bigger than us, but they will sign Vardy and we will all be laughing at Arsenal next season. Have we not learned anything from last season? They are a joke, and now we know why all the big clubs laugh at them. If he goes, he will make more money, fine. But he will be sharing minutes, playing with players that have much more technical ability than him and a losing mentality that will infect him. His body is breaking down, our physio team has been keeping him in one piece. We take the £20m, buy a 23 year old international captain who by all accounts could stomp Vardy in a 60m dash, and move on safe in the knowledge that we will all be laughing at Arsenal next season the same as every year. And people saying 'ooh but we still have to respect him and give him a big round of applause when we play against him' seriously piss off. He'd be sacking us off for more money. Thanks for the memories but we don't owe him shit.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 think we did well out of him won the league and got 20mill
HankMarvin Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 A few schools of thought on this one. 1) Vardy doesn't adapt quickly. He's 29, moving to a club that has less patience with players than us. If he doesn't hit the ground running, his career could stall. We've built a team around him, Arsenal won't do that. He'll end up like other forgotten players. 2) He see's us as one season wonders, has a taste for winning and wants more. More money, London life etc .... Can't blame the lad, he's 29. Either way, one man didn't win us the league. It was s collective effort. We'll find someone else!! Life goes on!! Past tense His just broke the premier scoring record, banged 24 goals, won the league, Scored a worldie against neur. Having a Hollywood movie made about his life and playing in a euros. I don't think mentally you could have more going for you, slightly different to the big step up from non league.
Guest ttfn Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Shoddy management? Without the release clause he would have probably been off in January and we wouldn't have won the league! We didn't have to sell him if he didn't have a release clause. I've no doubt we could have made him an acceptable contract offer which didn't involve him being made available at below market value at the end of the season.
apple987 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If we lose one of mahrez and Kante too we could actually get relegated next season
hairmetalgamer Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I've seen a message that's saying its because of how people turned on tem because of the lookalike
TheSomersetFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If we lose one of mahrez and Kante too we could actually get relegated next season i'm done

Lcfc_1995 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 This is gutting, but we got to move on the club is bigger than him, I imagine the scouts will hopefully have a good replacement lined up need to try and make sure we somehow don't lose mahrez and Kante which may look unlikely now if Vardy goes
whoareyaaa Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he did leave us for Arsenal then I would never applaud him. EVER This is why you have to respect players like Terry, Lampard and Gerard.

EGBFitness Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Hate to say it lads but it's breaking news on kisstory. Gutted Well if it's on kisstory it's a done deal Radio station that's a flash from the past... They only announced last week that Milan Mandaric has taken over Leicester
Buzzell Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Still not on Kerrang!FM so there's hope. Takeover Radio haven't reported anything so there's deffo hope.
Leicesterfan Cambiasso Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Isn't Musa a pretty much like-for-like replacement; same speed, same price, younger, perhaps a lower quality of finishing. I want Vardy to stay but Musa is as close as a replacement you're likely to get.
