Robin JD Popley Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Fantastic end to a Fantastic season. Enjoy your summer everyone. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND.
Vince Vega Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Thank you Fuchs. Plenty of time now to let it all sink in and contemplate Champions League football. Have a great summer!
stretch1965 Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Had a bit of a shit year personally, but how City's season has lifted me and helped my focus on the positives and given me a lift with the performances and results. Thank You my team
josh_baskin Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Still when I look at the table I think my eyes are telling a lie but there not! Whatever happens to our club from now on, on or off the pitch from is never going to be a concern to me because nothing will change the fact that Leicester city, for one season at least were the greatest team in England and that can never be taken away from us! As much as the season has been the best in mine and any other Leicester fans lifetime I'm glad it's over and now goes to the history books as its caused me more stress than I can express, but it has all been worth it!
fazzyfox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 A special season and this forum has been a big part of the experience. Who would have thought there would ever be so many pages to a Chelsea v Tottenham match thread (or was it part of the premier league thread?) We've all looked at and scrutinised every last detail and because of outstanding management, recruitment and ability there have been no cracks, very few criticisms and for a change no whipping boy player (OK maybe Shinji, Albrighton and King have had some negativity from a tiny minority but nothing like the Konchesky, Wellens, Gallagher, Logan stuff). We've had to make Grandad Schwarzer the chosen one and he hasn't even played! Under testing circumstances (referees shipped in from from Pluto) we kept our belief and whilst at times I couldn't say I enjoyed the tension realistically anything worth winning comes with that. It was one thing being proud of the assembled squad of players who have been handpicked and had their temperament challenged by media, dodgy officials and supposedly more "experienced at winning things" opponents, but the fans and I know it's easier to be positive when you're winning, but the fans have been spectacular, commented on by every kind of neutral observer, compare Spurs fans v WBA where the tension was transferred to the players, you, we, never did that, we never let our boys down and whether it was late in the Norwich game or the West Ham farse, never gave up believing that anything was possible until that final whistle blows. They say a top keeper earns an extra 8-10 points a season for his side, a good crowd......? FT you've been top of the pile, best in the land, absolutely 'king powered remarkable. It's been a pleasure.
Weller in Tights Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 My older brother took me when I was 7 to see Leicester v Stoke at Filbert Street. Since then I have truly been in love with MY team. 55 years of age now, although my love never wavered, my heart was broken many times in our long relationship. However there had also been highs, the Bloomfield years, the Wembley trips for Play offs and the O'Neill years being the obvious highs. These last 3 seasons have been amazing and now I sit here typing this with MY team sitting as Champions. I truly love the game of football, it really has been a massive part of my life, from playing myself when younger, through to running school teams and also the Sunday Youth teams my kids played for. I watch football avidly on TV and have managed to follow England abroad a few times. However the greatest part of loving football has been having a season ticket for City and getting to as many away games as I can. Thank you Raneiri, Thank you the Players, Thank you LCFC, thank you my fellow fans. I am so happy.
ARM1968 Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Most of that season was crap I don't mind telling you. The stress got worse and worse as the dream danced closer to reality. Eventually the two aligned, but not before every emotion had been dragged out of me. God I hope next season is easier.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 I actually don't care if we never win another competition Nothing can taint the feeling of immense pride I have in our team and manager and everyone else that facilitated this incredible achievement

Webbo Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 I can't believe how fortunate we are. Yes we've been the best team this season, no argument there but why us? Why not Southampton or Stoke or someone else? We're a mid sized club these sorts of things just don't happen anymore. We are truly blessed.
Vlad the Fox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 I was looking at my profile yesterday changing my picture and what not, when I came to the section that said interests which I'd filled in when I joined in 2012, I'd put something along the lines of 'whatching Leicester City become champions of England'. I can't remember writing it but I'm either prophetic or very optimistic.

We're even more fortunate not to have clowns owning the club - like Cellino and Tan, as well as possibly the Charlton owner.
Vlad the Fox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 Or the illuminati. Ha ha, I'm wildly optimistic, I even predicted us to win the league, then again I have done for the last 40 years.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 I thank the club and players for creating an achievement that is regarded as one of English football's best ever. I feel like we are an iconic club now, everyone will recognise us more for the future years of our history. I suppose you could say a bigger club. I've been trying to come to terms with what we've achieved, we're similar sized clubs to Southampton, West Brom and Palace etc so it would be like them winning it. Looking ahead, I'd like to see year on year further progression, more cups and an increased stadium size.

We're a mid sized club these sorts of things just don't happen anymore. We are truly blessed. I think of this from time to time. I need next season to hurry up. My dream was always see us winning the cup, I never even contemplated winning the league. I still want us to win the cup but after this year I don't think I can dream about it. I don't know what my aims are for the club anymore, whatever may be achieved in the years to come I just feel like it won't surpass this year. Like with most things they say the first is usually the best but i'm just really content. It would be great if we could do it again next season, but I won't care if we don't. I just haven't got that urge that fans of the traditional top clubs have that they must win it year after year. I

Just thought he'd let a few other clubs have a go for 132 years. God's nice like that.
UPinCarolina Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 I don't know where else to post this, so I'll just leave it here. Perhaps it's because it's Sunday and I'm anxious about the work week ahead, or maybe it's that I'm coming down from the weekend's excitement, but I am feeling quite bittersweet about our season ending today. It was such an amazing, joyous and emotional ride. There's little chance that it will ever be matched, much less exceeded, in our lifetimes. While there are plenty of new and exciting times ahead (Champions League, Community Shield, Euro 2016, the friendlies of the International Champions Cup), I'm a bit glum and chuffed at the same time.
Vlad the Fox Posted 16 May 2016 Posted 16 May 2016 Well baring the fa cup it seems that everything has drawn to a conclusion apart from one thing. Where's preki?
