Terrorist concerns in France?

Recommended Posts

If I get shot when I’m out there I’m going to make sure my last, dying act is to do the ‘loser’ L-sign with my hand towards my terrorist murderer. Imagine how ashamed and embarrassed he will feel!

Fair point!

Looking at those poor guys lying in polls of blood on the floor of the Battaclan they don't really look like winners unfortunately, no glory in dying like this.

Neither did the guys on Sword Beach, or the poor sods caught in their home as an air raid started and got unlucky. But they are remembered now because the overall fight was won.

You're right in that there's no glory in dying like that, and war is utterly shit. But you keep going, and you avenge them by not letting the ideological twatbeards affect your life.

I can assure you all that safety/ security and intelligence gathering are at their peak in the months leading up to a major tournament...

Got tickets for the quarter final in Lille - the one in which England will play if we win the group and get through the round-of-16. I've worked out my emergency plan: if I'm in a bar and a suspicious-looking character comes in with a hefty rucksack or machine gun and shouts "allahu akbar!", I'm going to quietly make my excuses and leave. That should do it I reckon.

You should do that 'pretend to get a phone call' trick I roll out every time I need to get away from boring company.

"Sarah?! What a surprise. Wait, I'm just going to sprint outside and get under the nearest car so I can hear you...."

if the fear doesn't stop you and then you get blown up by a terrorist, i'd say they were still winning.

Their aim is not to kill you or me or anyone else, their aim is to create fear and panic to provoke governments into doing what they want. They only win if they do that, although when what they want is a holy war in Syria, I think fvck it give it to them see how that works out for them.

pretty sure the aim of anyone strapping a bomb to their arse and setting it off in public is to kill people.

That is the result of strapping a bomb to their arse, but they have no interest in killing people, only in how killing people will cause panic and fear allowing them to achieve their aims.

I'm concerned to the point that I'd worry about my mum losing another member of her family.

As for me- nah I've seen people die in ways I'd never want to go. At least I'd be going down doing something I love

I am comforted that my family will have my 10,000 posts on FoxesTalk to remember me by. They'll look at them and know I lived life to the fullest.

Would be lying if I said it hasn't crossed my mind.

But I'm a guy who likes my averages, and the chance of me being in a terrorist situation when there are literally millions of people going to France for the Euros has got to be minuscule!

You all have permission to take the piss out of this if I die over there! lol

Can they print this on the Order of Service for your funeral?

Off to the Slovakia game, and going to a few fan parks the nights before hopefully.

Not going to be put off by brainwashed morons.

If you give in I guess they win.

I wonder what sections of England fans will do when they drunkenly and mistakenly suspect a local for a terrorist. That could be equally horrific.

Get your arm blown off By one side and have the other side beat you to death with your severed arm

Yip stay at home buddy

I will happily die before I let one of those ****ing cu**s influence my life in any way shape or form that I can help.

Remind your self thet when security frisk you and check your bag at the ground , your frisked and denied bringing a tube of toothpaste on a plane , you can send a bottle of perfume in post to your aunty in Australia etc.......

They are already effecting your life and the more they carry on the more our life's will be effected

Its inevitable really, France's public sector and security forces are a joke - one of the reasons they are constantly a target.

One thing i would say is ISIS operate on the element of surprise, i dont think any one is going to be surprised if it kicks off..........unless that is of course there is something spectacular.

I agree , can see hooliganism returning this summer but I really can't see ISIS on a rampage

I think it will be more subtle than a rampage.
