Spuds fans could have sang Withering Heights... They were top for 19mins last season!!

Sadly just more BS from the London loving media Spurs were not top because they game hadn't finished, there is actually talks of the press only publishing the possession % and class completion tables this coming season.

/\ Clubs have agreed, it's going to transfer record (from Polish League). Kapustka for 5.5 mln euro + milion as bonus. More soon in Przeglad Sportowy (polish sport newspaper).

I'm hearing a few reports out of Poland that a deal may have been agreed. €5.5m, with a possible rise to €6.5m with addons.

Happy days if so!

Players contracts and dealing with agents is nowhere near the walk in the park some fans think.

if you believe that in January the agent did not have options with JV then you are diluded ....I can't say where I know this but his agent had JV's interests to protect and no one was expecting to win the league and even the most optimistic believed that Top 4 was the best we could hope for.

Rudkin and the board tried to protect the club by retaining JV and yes it may look short sighted now but had we finished 6th he wanted champions league football.

Hindsight is easy but Rudkin is just easy pickings as a scapegoat.....our football club is in the best position EVER irrespective of who leaves but I for one would back our owners 100%.......we ALL thought appointing Claudio was barmy and they said trust us.....well I think they have earned a bit of trust and respect....keep the faith!

I think you make a good point here. Not sure where all this hate for Rudkin comes from. To put it into context, my brother in law came round for a few beers last night (he's a massive Liverpool fan) and the recruit there has been pretty pathetic. Massive club like Liverpool and they haven't really brought in anyone despite being in dire need of strengthening. They've needed a new left back for 18 months and are no closer to getting one. In comparison you'd have to say Rudkin is doing a decent job.

this would be a sick signing if we paid loads of money, let alone spare change. we are such ballers.

It's not far off what we paid for Kramaric.

Excited about this one. This is the sort of shrewd signing the likes of Dortmund, Leverkusen, Villareal or Sevilla might make - the sort of well-run and successful football clubs I hope we can emulate. Clubs that sometimes struggle to hold on to their stars but always replace them effectively and who always seem to be in Europe's top competitions

well it is quite far off the rumoured fees, and even if it was the same fee, we're now a mega rich post-tv deal champions of england champions league club, when we signed kramaric we were a championship club in everything but name. so not sure what your point is. but yeah. nice.

My point is how things have changed in just over a year.

I hope we get this over the line quickly, we really can't go wrong signing 19 year old Polish internationals for a price like this.

It has a Demarai Gray type feel about it when it's a win/win for the club. Even if these type of players bomb you'll still probably get your money back two or three years down the line.
