His job is to get the best deal possible. If you were going to an Audi dealership and there was a new car you loved that cost £15k you wouldn't off 20k "just because you wanted it". It makes no fvcking sense. You'd try and get it as cheap as possible.

Buying a footballer is not like buying a car. He is painfully slow at most dealings and has harmed us with his utter shite clauses. What plank in their right mind inserts a £20M release clause into Jamie Vardy's contract in January? It's irrelevant that Vardy's people wanted it inserted, we're champions and he has a small club mentality. Champions act like champions, not pratting about with £5M offers for future wonderkids.

We do appear painfully slow in our dealings and this may have cost us in the past - we just do not know. Now with is fellow, he obviously has great potential, so indeed pratting around with offers that are clearly derisory is not really how we should be dealing in relation to players that are being courted by other clubs.. if you want something badly, then you have to bite the bullit.. if we were to miss out because say Everton offered 1 million more, then I think a rethink within the club would be called for.

Without the loss of Kante we required an extra CM. I think he could probably compete directly for shinji's place - although thats based on only the little i've saw online/at euros and what i've read.
