Ozwin Posted 25 July 2016 Posted 25 July 2016 I could have sworn he played right or left back but apparently he's a midfielder? Either way... 1 minute ago, SheppyFox said: GERRIMIN

Buying a footballer is not like buying a car. He is painfully slow at most dealings and has harmed us with his utter shite clauses. What plank in their right mind inserts a £20M release clause into Jamie Vardy's contract in January? It's irrelevant that Vardy's people wanted it inserted, we're champions and he has a small club mentality. Champions act like champions, not pratting about with £5M offers for future wonderkids. Players contracts and dealing with agents is nowhere near the walk in the park some fans think. if you believe that in January the agent did not have options with JV then you are diluded ....I can't say where I know this but his agent had JV's interests to protect and no one was expecting to win the league and even the most optimistic believed that Top 4 was the best we could hope for. Rudkin and the board tried to protect the club by retaining JV and yes it may look short sighted now but had we finished 6th he wanted champions league football. Hindsight is easy but Rudkin is just easy pickings as a scapegoat.....our football club is in the best position EVER irrespective of who leaves but I for one would back our owners 100%.......we ALL thought appointing Claudio was barmy and they said trust us.....well I think they have earned a bit of trust and respect....keep the faith!
mozartfox Posted 25 July 2016 Posted 25 July 2016 I saw a man wearing a Cracovia shirt in Vienna today and got talking. The lad is mustard according to him.. Even more bizarre I saw an Italian lad wearing a Foxes shirt on the U-Bahn.

Buggsteam Posted 25 July 2016 Posted 25 July 2016 Looks a quality player. hope we sign him as an addition to the team and not a replacement for Mahrez
Finnegan Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 I have two observations. 1. The amount of room he gets in that video is ****ing Sunday league. Woeful defending. 2. When my friend told me speedway gets support than football in Poland I was impressed. Then I saw this lad playing against apparently Oadby and Shepshed. Nice.

It's huge in certain parts of the country. Massive in fact. However, Speedway isn't supported massively in the large cities of Warsaw or Kraków
Callabinho Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 He's proven that he can do it with the national team. Plus Lewondowski was once banging the goals away in this "shit" league...he's alright isn't he......

StriderHiryu Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 He played Right-back for Poland against Northern Ireland and came on for a couple more games. Despite playing great against Northern Ireland, Nawalka (the Polish coach) opted for experience against Germany, which paid off with the 0-0 draw. However, it seems like he is pretty versatile with a good left-foot and can play in many positions. Being so young, he probably doesn't have a "set" position yet so could end up growing into one of many positions ultimately. This seems like a REALLY good deal for us. Might not make much impact initially, but I can see him leaving the club in a few years for 3-5 times what we pay for him now.

And I suppose you know the bloke and how he works then? As you're adamant it's all his fault. Stop jumping on the bandwagon. This isn't fvcking football manager, how has "big clubs" throwing over the odds money worked in the recent past? It's really served Man United, Man City (Sterling, Bony etc) well hasn't it? It's not "irrelevant" that Vardy's agent wanted the release clause put it, maybe it was the only way to keep him in January? How would you know exactly what's going on behind the scenes? Would you risk losing our top striker if it meant we had to put the clause in? I could be wrong but you're acting as if you KNOW all this stuff, you don't.
MrSpaM Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 According to Arsenal Mahrez is on his way out the door because this guy would be our 'big money signing' Apparently we wouldn't spend 5 million on a player that wasn't guaranteed to start Let's completely ignore the fact that we've just spent 16 million on a new striker
Nick Posted 26 July 2016 Posted 26 July 2016 Attacking midfielder I thought - a number 10, sky saying he's a winger... Anybody know his preferred position?

Looks supremely talented agreed but he definitely didn't play right back.. He played on the left hand side of midfield against Northern Ireland and Ukraine so not sure where you've got that from. He looks like a tidy creative player who tends to play from the left hand side despite being left footed. Looks like he could easily be a no.10 too from what i've read and seen.

It'll make it all the better when the window is closed and Mahrez is still here.
